When’s the last time, you had a thorough, internal marketing audit done of your various marketing strategies or tactics? Say what? Seriously. Hopefully, you’re doing more than your fair share of strategic A/B split testing, correct?
If not, then more than likely. You’re definitely working too hard, on the non essential time and resource draining aspects of running and growing your business or service.
Because as soon as you or your major competitors, start systematically testing, measuring and constantly adjusting. As soon as you become aware of what’s not quite working, as good as it could or should be. And you either strategically tweak it. Or eliminate it altogether.
Your business or service, can keep on scaling, for less up front cost. And still generate, higher gross profits, on the initial front end of your business. Otherwise.
This is definitely a surefire sign. You’re working way too hard. So what’s it gonna be?
Why Continue Working Too Hard When You Can Pivot And Start Working A Whole Lot Smarter!
Case in point. Take a close look at the screen shot image below. It’s from my twitter account. And there are at least three major marketing components, which make my twitter profile, and hopefully yours as well!
Work at least 25-50% harder, than the average marketers twitter profile does.Say what? Have a closer look. Then let’s reveal, “what” these so called, potential marketing advantages are.
(Extremely important note: Remember, by not incorporating, these incredibly simple, yet proven, low cost marketing strategies and tactics, into your current and future marketing plans. You’re simply working too hard.When you can and definitely should be constantly working smart.)
If You Don’t Maximize You First Or Initial Impressions! (You May Not Get A Second Chance To Do So!)
Take a much closer look at my current twitter profile header. First of all, (please keep in mind!) On average, yo and I have about five seconds or less.
Once a first time visitor lands on any of your social media profiles, to draw them in. Or they;’re not only gone. But a staggering 99% of them, aren’t ever coming back. Say what? Nod your heads cadets. Because it’s true.
This being the case. Not in my profile bio section. The long tail keyword phrase #smallbusinessmarketing, has a hashtag in front of it. Any idea why? Those carefully selected, long tail keywords.
Are so, whenever a twitter uses, searches for those particular long tail keywords. My twitter profile has a much better chance of being initially discovered.
So the $64,000 dollar question to use. Do you currently have, at least one set of relevant, long tail keyword phrases, hash tagged so your ideal, potential prospects, now have a 200% better chance, of constantly finding your steadily improving profile on twitter? If not, why not?
Otherwise. Yo guessed it? You’re definitely working too hard.
The Smarter You Initially Work On The Front End Of Your Sales Funnel! (The Far More Profitable The Back End Of Your Sales Funnel Will Be Or Eventually Become!)
Case in point. It may not be apparent. But there is a pinned video, on my twitter profile as well. And this particular video. Is -to date- my number one, most viewed video on my youtube channel
To dater, it has a very respectable, 62,000 plus views.Huh? So it definitely makes sense, for me to pin it to the front of my twitter profile. Correct? Absolutely.
And just as an extremely relevant side note. As it pertains, to strategically working smarter.This same most viewed video, is currently pinned on the home page of my youtube account as well.
This way, whenever first time visitors, land on the homepage/index page of my youtube channel. They are immediately exposed, to my most viewed video.
(Major hint: And it’s also “why’ my most viewed video, is included in this particular blog post. Because (once again!) My failure to do so.
Will ultimately mean, I’m working too hard! Now take a look at some of the recent metrics, of having my most watched video, pinned, (made permanent), to my twitter profile.
(And yes, just in case you’re wondering? You can simply delete your current pinned video anytime you want. And replace it with another of your own videos.)
You Definitely Can’t Just Ignore Technology Or Neglect To Be Strategic! (And Realistically Expect To Do As Well As Your Major Competitors Who Embrace These Proven Marketing Strategies Or Tactics!)
Let’s properly set the table here. The screen shot image you’re looking at below. It reveals, “how” many visitors on twitter, (to date), have not only looked (more like) briefly glanced at my twitter profile.
And saw my pinned video. On how to get a bank loan approved. And clicked over, to have a closer look, and watch the first X amount of seconds of the video.
That being said. The screen shot image below reveals. To date, 5,130 total impressions. (Think total exposures) to my most video, pinned video on my twitter profile. And to date, 217 visitors, clicked through to have a closer look at the first X amount of seconds of the entire video.
Twitter only plays about 30 seconds of your pinned video. So when you divide, 217 by 5,130, (you should get) .0042. Conveniently rounded off four places behind the decimal.
And when you multiply your figures by 100. You should get, a very respectable “Click Through Rate,” (CTR) of 4.23%. )100 x .0042 = 4.23%)
In other words, for every 100 unique exposures to my (or your) pinned video. In this particular case only. Four visitors, consistently clicked through.And were re-directed to another page or video etc.
Ask anyone you know, whose currently using any type of PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising campaign. On Facebook or wherever. If they’d be extremely pleased, with an initial 4% CTR rate? Especially if their sales conversion rate, is 7% or more.

While it may not initially seem (brain dead obvious!) Just yet. These three, incredibly simple, yet strategic marketing tweaks. Can and definitely will, help you start out promoting, the vast majority, of your major competitors.
