You must realize and fully appreciate. Even your best, (most effective) paid ad campaigns. All come to a grinding halt. The moment you or I stop paying for them.
(You know and realize that, right?) On the other hand. Provided you’re constantly building your own opt in email list. Your single or series of email messages to your subscribers.
Can in theory anyway. 😎 Drive targeted eyeballs to you or your top JV (Joint Venture) or top cross promotional partners blog or extremely time sensitive offers etc.
For literally a fraction of the traditional ad costs. Your laser targeted prospects can (in theory anyway!) Find an extremely helpful or relevant blog post.
You or your major competitors literally published five or years ago. Try stop paying for one of your most profitable ad campaigns. And see “how” future prospects can find it 5 – 10 years from now. ( Just saying. 😀 )
Having Your Own self Hosted Blog Definitely Allows You To Control Your Digital Marketing Campaigns!
Case in point. It’s very possible if I were doing a guest post. I (or you!) Might not be able to add one of your videos to the post. And if you’re using one of the free blogging platforms.
They can decide (without warning!) To permanently shut your entire account down. And along with it the 6 months to 3 years worth of content you’ve consistently published with it.
And the exact same potential outcome pertains to your social media accounts you’re so fond of constantly posting on. What good does it ultimately do you and I. To constantly invest time, money and effort.
Only to wake up one morning. To find your Instagram, Tik-Tok, X and Linkedin accounts have all either temporarily or permanently shutdown.
Which means you’re literally starting over from scratch.
The Fresh Problem Solving Content Published On Your Self Hosted Blog Can Potentially Remain In Cyber Space A Whole Lot Longer!

And let’s say for whatever reasons. My YouTube account gets permanently shutdown. (While that’s definitely not my desired outcome by any stretch of the imagination.)
The fact that I still have my own self hosted WordPress blog. And my own steadily growing opt in email list. I can still use both to generate semi to laser targeted traffic to my blog.
Or I (or you!) can inexpensively direct your email subscribers wherever you wish them to go. Both on or offline. And traffic does and continues to find my blog. Perhaps only momentarily stop by. And without going in further into my blog. For whatever reason(s) decides to not go any further.
Clearly it’s definitely not the desired outcome, correct? But you and I are not directly charged X for them clicking to our site(s) and not hanging around.
Your Paid Ad Campaigns Quickly Fade Away! (But Your How To Problem Solving Content Can Systematically Be Found Both Now And Well Into The Future!)
Of course Google along with the other major search engines would like to see more of our online visitors to not only stick around. But delve deeper into our site(s.)
I still get comments and shares from relevant content published 3- 10 years ago. (How about you?) No matter “how” you slice it ladies & gentlemen.
Consistently creating relevant content for your specific target audience. Definitely represents some of the most. Potentially profitable, low hanging fruit marketing opportunities. Don’t you agree?
