Why sometimes all you really need is a simple marketing plan!

Of course you already realize just how much having a really simple marketing plan, can help you save valuable time and money? Right?

For one thing, it’s not the fancy paper that you write your marketing plan on that counts.

It’s actually consistently implementing your written down plan that counts. And guess what?

One of the main reasons, that you’re not consistently implementing your fancy marketing plan, is because you haven’t bothered to write it down.

And one of the main reasons, that you haven’t bothered to write it down, is because it’s just a little bit too complicated and time consuming.

So let’s try and create a less complicated (low hanging fruit approach) to your overall marketing plan, if you will. And you’ll be amazed at how much more enthusiastic and productive you will be and remain.Sound good?

Why Having A Simple Marketing Plan Is Just So Much Easier To Consistently Implement!

Let’s face it already, as savvy small business owners, service providers (and) entrepreneurs in general, your business life is already complicated enough. Don’t you agree? You’ve got more than enough to worry and be concerned with.

So why complicate things even further, by having some super elaborate marketing plan, that you’ll actually never fully follow and or implement, to begin with. Enough of that already. Instead, let’s un complicate things and simply get back to the basics. Sound good?

Introducing The Five Key Components To A Simple Marketing Plan…..

Of course, you could have more basic elements included in this list, but why continue to over complicate things. The idea here, is to finally get off center and  start the ball rolling.Correct?

1.) Basic key element # one: Right off the bat, before you start spending a nickel on any type of paid advertising/marketing campaign etc. You’ve gotta know (specifically) who your main target is. In other words, don’t start firing at the the target (spending money), until you have correctly identified who they are and more importantly, what they want!

And please, learn an important less here; your target market will spend tons of money on what they want, but not necessarily on what they need! So (the powerful lesson) for you to learn here is, you are catering to their wants and desires first, and their needs second, if at all!

They may need window guard protection, to protect their car windshields from where and tear, but (without a doubt) they definitely want that really cool 52 inch flat screen TV!

2.) Basic key element # two: Determine which marketing mediums are prime (or ideal) for your specific niche. In other words, where do they hang out? On or offline. Because your marketing mediums (hopefully) will be the most cost effective vehicles of communication.

So the better you understand them, the easier it will be to get your best market tested messages in front of them.

3.) Basic key element # three: Carefully choose your niche and then quietly go about dominating it! It’s better to be known as the “Hair dresser to the stars” as opposed to trying to market your hair salon services to the rich in general!

Because you can make a much louder (more effective) splash in a puddle (tiny lucrative) niche market, as opposed to trying to create a giant ripple in a much bigger ocean (more crowded) general market place.

Make Creating A Simple Marketing Plan Your Main Priority!

4.) Basic key element # four: Make sure that your particular products or services adequately address the wants (and needs) of your chosen market niche. In other words, are you able to adequately compete in this particular market niche you’ve initially chosen?

Have you adequately accessed, whether there’s too much competition in this particular segment of the market? What (if any) weaknesses does your major competitors have, that you can capitalize on right now etc? Or within a reasonable amount of time. (Say, 60 days or less.)

Basically, you must know and understand your chosen market niche and the major competitors in it.

5.) Basic key element # five: Boy if ever there was one particular hurdle, that sank a many  (otherwise) savvy entrepreneur, it would be this! So listen up!

Set realistic, attainable goals! Is increasing your business by 7500%, in the next 90 days or less! Is that really attainable for your specific business, based on your current skill set, budget considerations, commitment and available time allotment?

If not, you want to adopt the S.M.A.R.T. formula: S. Create a sensible goal. M. Make sure it’s measurable. A. It also needs to be totally achievable. R. And let’s not forget realistic as well. T. And finally, it needs to be time specific.
