So have you really bothered to take notice of just how many extremely hard working.
Not to mention dedicated, semi cash strapped small business owners and or service providers, don’t have (either) a state of the art WordPress website or blog?
According to recent stats, it’s as much as 70% nationwide in the United States alone. Say what? Nod your head cadets because it’s true.
But here’s the other staggering stat. If not as many or more of these extremely hard wording, semi cash strapped entrepreneurs are not currently active on any social media platforms either. Huh? Exactly.
This being the case you had better be doing something pro-actively which will not only generate, but nurture, some type of ongoing, positive word of mouth marketing momentum. Don’t you agree?
So Why Aren’t You Currently Implementing Some Effective Marketing Strategies!
Case in point. Let’s suppose you have a product or a service (for that matter), which targets women with annual incomes in the high five, six or seven figure a year range. 😀
So let’s say you’re a local retail jeweler with a single location. And you’re ideal female customer currently has a total lifetime customer value metric of somewhere in the neighborhood of $6,500 – $11,000 dollars. Give or take over the next five to seven year period.
Now you could continue to waste a ton of your extremely hard earned money on those outrageously expensive, dismally performing one and done traditional advertising campaigns. Right?
Temporarily getting in front of your local prime time audience. Via local TV, radio and or newspaper ads and five minutes after your ads run. Guess what?
You’ll be forgotten about, (just like) your major competitors will, within five short minutes or less of your local TV and or radio ad airing.
How To Put The True Power Of Word Of Mouth Marketing To Work For You!
And if you expect this outrageously expensive, traditional advertising/promotional approach to even begin to work. You’d better be in the financial position to constantly spend a ton of money in order to semi stay in front of these potential consumers. Who have extremely short memories.
Otherwise, what if you initially tested going to a local bakery where both you and at least some of your staff frequently shop at. And since you already have an established relationship with the owner(s.) Here’s what you initially propose.
You ‘d like to purchase at least 50 (or x number of) donuts to begin with at the bakeries actual cost of course. 😀
And you pay cash for them. And tell the owners to tell their cashiers, the first 50 (or X) number of women who enter the bakery, (no matter) how much or little they spend.
They get one free donut and or bagel valued at X! Say what? 😀 Exactly. They choose whichever choice they want.
How And Why You Should Definitely Be Implementing Some Potentially Profitable Word Of Mouth Marketing Ideas!
But the cashiers or the owners also hand these women one of you or your major competitors your best, market tested, two sided index and or direct response type of business cards.
The index card will say something like the following. “How many people do you currently know , who really want to save up to 40 (or X% off) extremely popular designer jewelry?” (And all of the female cashiers and if there’s either a female owner or co-owner. She too will be rocking some awesome designer earrings, which she either got at your actual hard cost.
Or the moment her bakery generates at least 25 or X number of first time paying customers. You or your major competitors will gladly give a pair of extremely eye catching designer earrings, which usually retail for at least $650 dollars a pair. She’ll get hers for free.)
And just for the recipients bringing, (more like dragging) a friend with them to your showroom, whose at least 18 years old, to blanks jewelry store, before the expiration date written on this card expires!”
If nothing else at least 50 (or X number) of local women, get a free blank, right? 😀 And this simple marketing gesture definitely makes the bakery look good in the eyes of their current and future customers, right? Absolutely.
Plus, you know a certain percentage of these local ladies will definitely mention this small gesture, both on and off of social media, correct? 😀
How To Dramatically Improve Your Word Of Mouth Marketing Results!
Remember, since your ideal female customer definitely has an extremely large margin or spread, correct? This being the case.
You might instruct the bakery owner(s) and their cashiers, to provide the first 50 (or X number) of local women, who spend at least $20 or X amount of dollars.
They get a $10 dollar gift certificate, courtesy of your jeweler store. Which means the customer now saves $10 dollars off their entire order over $10 dollars! 😀
Can You See How Implementing These Simple Word Of Mouth Marketing Tactics Can Help Take Your Business And Or Service To A Whole New Level!
And again the extremely marketing savvy jeweler provides these 50 (or x number) of local women with a gift certificate worth X! You know they’ll make your generosity known both on or off of social media, correct? For sure!
And rest assured a certain percentage of those 50 (or X number) of local recipients will definitely, (not only) take you up on your extremely time sensitive offer. But they’ll also bring-more like drag- a semi qualified guest with them too!
And this is why, if you’re not extremely active on social media you’d better have some type of pro-active word of mouth marketing strategy working for you! Don’t you agree?
