See ‘if’ this even halfway makes sense to you. the major brands. especially these mega brands with stores nationwide. some of them are more than happy to spend a cool $5.5 million dollars for one sixty second super bowl ad. Say what? Nod your head cadets because sadly it’s true.
So they decide by running two of these outrageously expensive ads. Which basically comes to a grand total of somewhere in the neighborhood of $11,000,000 million dollars. (That’s eleven million dollars. Just in case I didn’t add enough zeroes.)
On the other hand. These particular promotional challenges could probably be fixed with a non complicated strategic marketing plan.
And truth told with regards to the ad last being seen by such a massively large audience. In less than 30 minutes after their last ad runs. A staggering 98% or more of the audience doesn’t remember it. And of the remaining two percent who did.
Anywhere from 98-99% of them currently have no intentions whatsoever of buying and jewelry anytime soon. This is awful lot to spend in order to create nothing more than gloried brand awareness. Don’t you agree?
You Put Your Strategic Marketing Process In Motion! (And Watch Both Your Front And Back End Profits Gradually Soar!)
Isn’t it amazing “what” financial and promotional lengths some major brands will go to just to be seen by an untargeted, (albeit!) massively large audience.
What “if” instead they contacted to start with) 1,000 of the top upscale hair and nail salon owners in the country. And another top 1,000 or X number of the top male and female financial planning firms in the country.
And here’s what they or one o their top JV (Joint Venture) or top cross promotional partners would offer the two previously mentioned groups.
For an extremely limited time. (Who saw that proven marketing gem coming, right?) But for an extremely limited time. Every owner women’s hair or nail salon and their current stylist.
Or any new stylist who gets hired within the next 120 or X number o days or less. as long as they join the retail jewelers opt in email list. They can purchase one pair of extremely eye catching diamond studded earrings.
Which typically retail for $650 dollars a pair. They only pay half or the retailers actual hard cost of $325 dollars a pair. And they can also buy one additional diamond studded necklace. Which normally retails for at least $2,500 dollars each.
Who Says A Little Ethical Bribery Is Strictly Old School?
They only pay half or $1,250 dollars. And the men not to be out done. Contact the top 1,000 or X number of men’s clothing and shoe stores nation wide. And both the owner(s) and all of their current male employees.
(Who are full or part time BTW.) For every one of them who joins the retail jewelers opt in email list, For an extremely limited time. They get to purchase one man’s Rolex watch. Which usually retails for $3,000 dollars. They only pay $1,000 dollars.
And as long as they remain an active email subscriber. And they need financing terms. They can break their payments into two credit card payments of $500 dollars each. (With absolutely no interest payments ever.)
The main point is this. Entrepreneur do you honestly think this type of totally non traditional, extremely time sensitive marketing/promotional strategy won’t cause a social media blitz of some kind?
As compared to burning through eleven million dollars on two super bowl ads.
And What Do You Think Will Happen As the Word Rapidly Starts To Spread Among other Aspiring Retailers?
So they or a trusted third party reaches out to the top 1,500 or X number of independently owned hotel & motel owner(s) nationwide.
And every one of them who currently has a female receptionist or female manager or supervisor etc. As long as those ladies also join the retail jewelers list. For an extremely limited time they too get to purchase a pair of diamond studded earrings, which usually retail for $650 dollars a pair. But they only pay $325 dollars a pair.
And as long as they remain an active email subscriber for at 90 or X number of days. (So the jeweler can periodically send them some of their offer best market tested offers.)
On day 91 or beyond they too get to purchase an extremely eye catching diamond studded necklace. Which usually retails for $2,500 dollars. But for an extremely limited time they only pay $1,250 dollars or X.
(A retail price low enough it gets and keeps them constantly bragging to their siblings, in -laws, current, future and past neighbors and their besties for quite a while. Both on and off of social media.)
