(And Why Systematically Building Customer Relations Certainly Doesn’t Hurt!)
Do you know anybody who has worked at a local car wash, for at least ten years or more? (Truth told me neither.) But if the workers who actually spray the vehicles when they initially enter the shop.
There is a 98-99% chance. The vast majority of them don’t or will not last anywhere near 10 years of employment. Don’t you agree?
And for sure the good ones work extremely hard, do they not? But try and they may. At that type of position. Extremely hard work is simply not enough to save the day, is it? A lowly paying job. Simply will not allow you to enjoy some of the finer amenities in life. Entrepreneur do you agree with that last sentence?
You Might Be Potentially Sitting On An Untapped Goldmine Of Innovative Marketing Tactics! (Just Waiting To At Least Be Inexpensively Tested!)
Think about ‘what’ happens in practically any city or town in America anyway. During the brutally hot summer months. When the ice cream truck comes down your block or street.
Practically every kid 15 and under. (And some adults too! 😎 Who happens to be outside on the block. While or as the ice cream truck is coming through. They rush the truck. The vendor sells a few cones. And moves on to the next block.
Until it’s time for them to go home, correct? But let’s laser focus on the long term back end for a moment, shall we? 😀
You Don’t Always Have To Hit A Homerun With Your Initial Front End Revenue Streams!
Strictly for hypothetical marketing illustration purposes only. Suppose an extremely marketing savvy retail appliance store owner. Who’s ideal customer is easily worth $500- $25,000 dollars or X. Give or take over the next five to seven year period.
Simply by having a pretty realistic idea what their ideal customers total lifetime customer value metrics are. This being the case.
Imagine what would start routinely happening. If the non franchised retail appliance store owner at least inexpensively tested the following marketing strategies and tactics.
In order to create a positive, perpetual word of mouth and mouse power tsunami. Rather than keep wasting a fortune on those outrageously expensive, dismally performing local billboard ad campaigns. Or those outrageously expensive, hit and miss local newspaper or primetime radio ads etc.
Instead they purchase at least 2,500 or X number of ice cream cones. At the ice cream vendors actual hard cost. And the ice cream vendor enthusiastically goes block to block.
Throughout the town or city. Gladly giving away single scoops of extremely great tasting ice cream cones. Until they’ve given away at least 2,500 or X number of them! (Say what? 😎
And Thank Goodness It’s Not About Constantly Coming Up With Various Innovative Marketing Tactics!
You can only imagine “how” fast word will consistently spread. Both on and offline. About the local, non franchised ice cream vendor. Who’s temporarily selling single cones at their actual hard cost. And occasionally giving the adults. (Especially the females 18 and over.) free single scoops valued at X!
What’s possibly in it for them to routinely do so? (Entrepreneur you’re kidding. right? :-D) The marketing reality is this. Each kid or male or female adult. Who approaches the window.
To purchase anything. They’ll be given a sealed envelop. With the words, “You Definitely Deserve This!” Written in big, bold red letters. On the outside of the envelop! 😀 Who’s not gonna open it? Very few, correct?
Untapped Revenue Streams! There Really Are Some Just Waiting To At Least Be Inexpensively Tested!
In reality the recipient is invited to enter the monthly or quarterly free drawing. Hosted by the extremely marketing savvy retailer. The locals, or at least a pretty good percentage of them.
Will gladly join the retailers opt in email list. For their chance to win a state of the art. 75 or X inch flat screen TV. Plus as long as they drag a friend with them to the retailers store. Who’s at least 18.
Before the ten or X day expiration date window expires completely worthless. They also get to purchase an additional ten free or X number of DVD’s. For just $2 or X dollars each. Not such a bad marketing promotion is it?
Coming up very shortly in part two. You and or your major competitors will discover at least three or X number more reasons “why.” Applying extremely hard work is simply not enough. Don’t yo agree?
Keep Hustling And Remain Laser Focused! But Don’t Think Think You Can Make It Without Some Form Of Bank Account Filling Marketing Leverage!
