Entrepreneur when is the last time a friend, relative or extremely close friend came to you to ask a much needed favor? Or vice versa. And when you gladly did it for them. Did you ask for payment or some sort of compensation?
And “if” the shoe were on the other foot. They more than likely wouldn’t ask you and I for a dime either, correct? My friend believe it or not. This all too common situation is one of the major corner stones for consistently creating opportunity which ultimately pays more than just the rent. Say what? Nod your head cadets because it’s true.
Of course right about now your sceptic meters are literally working overtime, are they not? Fair enough entrepreneur. But going forward, (and hopefully) after initially reading and re-reading this particular blog post.
You’ll have much better and far more practical understanding of “how” the ultimate insiders consistently create opportunities. Strategically using all too common situations. The overall vast majority of your major competitors don’t even see….
So Else Wants To Discover How To Build Brand Equity Using Some All Too Common Situations?
Entrepreneur as long as you readily acknowledge the following hypothetical marketing situations. Are strictly for marketing illustration purposes only. So imagine this all too common situation. And all of the previously untapped marketing possibilities.
Say you’re a social media marketing expert whose specialty is showing novices such as myself “how to” not only build an incredibly loyal and responsive following on twitter. (Or whichever platform happens to your specialty.)
But you also teach (consult on) “how to” monetize your following just like the ultimate insiders do. But while you’re definitely a qualified social media marketing expert. You really have no realistic clue of ‘how to” systematically land interviews on both relevant radio shows or relevant podcasts etc.
But an extremely close friend or (better yet) an extremely close relative of yours knows exactly “how to” do both. And typically charges their clients anywhere from $2,500- $3,500 dollars for each interview (or major guest blogging opportunity) they arrange for you.
They could just as easily arrange to get you or one or several of your top JV (Joint Venture) or top cross promotional partners on various extremely highly visible radio shows or podcasts too.
What May Seem Like A Small Or Extremely Insignificant Gesture To You! (May In Fact Be Or Quickly Become A Major Gesture For Them!)
In exchange for either your video, audio or written testimonial. Not a bad trade (or strategic swap) of extremely valuable services, right? In fact the PR expert could and definitely should contact the prospects, (translated) non customers on their opt in email list.
And for an extremely limited time offer to get them booked on some of the top -relevant- radio shows or podcasts. Which they already have established relationships with. For a one time flat fee of $1,000 dollars or X.
And simply for agreeing to provide them with either a video, audio or written testimonial. They only pay $750 dollars or X. Let’s say they reach out to their subscribers with an extremely time sensitive offer, such as the one just described and it’s extremely well received.
Your Long Term opt In Email Follow Up Campaigns Are Your Silent Work Horse Assets!
So they go ahead create a lead magnet free list building giveaway. Which in reality is nothing more than a 5- 7 series opt in email sequence drip campaign.
Where they reveal they have established radio and podcast hosts who are constantly on the look out for potential guest experts. To share their proven expertise with their steadily growing audiences.
And because it’s no problem to provide them with these much lesser known experts. The PR expert or their major competitors are more than glad to simple be the broker, (middle person.) But instead of charging their typical placement fee of $2,500 – $3,500 or X number of dollars.
They’ll gladly do it for $750- $1,000 or X amount of dollars and a mouth watering, potentially bank account filling video, audio or written testimonial.
And they or their major competitors could also inexpensively test offering a free monthly drawing on their main site. Or A/B split test that approach creating a separate lead capture page. And once a month award the 1st grand prize winner a free placement on either a popular, (albeit) a relevant radio show or podcast.
Which in and of itself is an X dollar value. And every month all the other subscribers win extremely time sensitive 2nd grand prizes worth X. Which in reality is the previous secondary offer or something similar. Which is an X dollar as well.
And your top JV or cross promotional partners could also send their opt in email subscribers the PR experts extremely time sensitive secondary offer(s) as well. Say what?
(And BTW entrepreneur.) Just based off the last hypothetical marketing strategy alone. Do you see a potentially profitable ‘reverse?” Literally staring you in the face? Whether you do or not. Hopefully you’re starting to better appreciate “why” creating opportunity is definitely worth the time and effort?
