Why A Simple Word Of Mouth Marketing Strategy Is Definitely A Great Start!

When’s the last time you looked into strategically scaling your business or service using traditional advertising methods? Clearly the entrepreneurs who can really afford to increase their ad/promotional spend.

Because at the end of the day. They realize it’s definitely a worthwhile investment. They’ll do so, correct? On the other hand. What if your traditional ad/promotional campaigns aren’t currently paying off just yet?

Maybe what you need to at least inexpensively test, is a rather simple word of moth marketing strategy or two. Afterall it’s definitely a whole lot less expensive, to compel the social influencers within your tribe. To help spread positive word of mouth and mouse buzz.  As opposed to constantly writing bigger and bigger checks, right?

Of course on the initial surface. And without any type of formal explanation of any kind. The above main power headline seems just a tad over the top. Does it not? 😀 Rest assured while it’s definitely not.

But before putting that evergreen marketing myth to bed. Please seriously consider the following, all too common promotional occurrence.

Let’s say both company A & B are very successful women’s cosmetic distributors. And both have extremely deep corporate pockets. And company A, (for whatever reasons!) decides to go the outrageously expensive traditional advertising/promotional/advertising route.

Which means buying at least two 30 second ad campaigns. To be aired during the Super Bowl in America. So they just budgeted a cool $5 or so million dollars. Or $2.5 million dollars per 30 second ad.

Company B however, decides to at least strategically test the following marketing/promotional strategy. (Because it can potentially generate 500 – 1,000% better response. For literally a fraction of the upfront out of pocket cost! 😎

You Definitely Don’t Need Extremely Deep Pockets In Order To  Systematically Generate An Avalanche Of Positive Word Of Mouth And Mouse Buzz!

They’ll start with the women’s head and assistant coaches. Of both division one & division two schools. Plus, the women Athletic directors as well as assistant athletic directors of the aforementioned schools. And the appropriate female jr. college professionals as well.

For an extremely limited time. As long as the they join company B’s, ever expanding opt in email list. They have their choice of a bares bones minimum two, positive word of mouth and mouse options.

1.) Extremely time sensitive offer # one: First, simply for joining their list. They can purchase one extremely popular mid level, 64 oz. bottle of fragrance of their choice.

Which usually retails for at least $650 or X amount of dollars. They only pay the retailers actual hard cost or half! 🙂 (Entrepreneur can you say positive, viral word of mouth and mouse tsunami! 🙂

2.) Extremely time sensitive offer # two: Or they can purchase one midlevel, 64 oz., fragrance of their choice. Pay the current retail price of X.

But receive an extremely eye catching pair of diamond studded earrings. Which usually retail for $650 dollars or X. (Of course extremely marketing savvy company B only pays the actual hard cost for them, correct? 😎

But long after those outrageously expensive, 30 second Super Bowl ads have long since been forgotten. 😕 Which promotional strategy do you honestly think will not only be remembered? But still be talked about weeks, months or years from now?
