Whether You Call It Opportunistic Marketing Or Not! (Keep Doing It!)

If you talk to some of the biggest influencers in the webinar/workshop space. An all too common theme is. They will confess or acknowledge. Some of their biggest mutually beneficial arrangements were formed.

Either during lunch with a colleague. Or at a live event pre or post mixer. Or while at a retreat but during the so called down time. Sometimes even on a private plane while flying to or from an event.

The point being there is all kinds of previously untapped opportunistic marketing possibilities. Which are waiting to be “discovered” by you and or your major competitors. All it takes is some minor mind shifts here and there. Are you up for it?

Entrepreneur Thank Goodness Systematically Building Your Own Business Isn’t Just About The Size Of Your Advertising Or Marketing Budget!

On the initial surface it probably doesn’t seem plausible you or your major competitors could build a relatively successful marketing campaign.

Based off the actual hard cost of an Xtra large cup of coffee. Or the actual hard cost for  20 lb. bag of great tasting gourmet coffee.

But rest assured you most certainly can. And BTW entrepreneur “how” much do you think the actual hard cost is for a 20 or X lb. bag of great tasting gourmet coffee is?

And whatever the actual hard cost is. Do you think you and or your major competitors could invest the exact same amount elsewhere and consistently generate anywhere near the same overall results?

To be brutally honest probably not. But here’s an incredibly brain dead simply marketing strategy. Which is worth at least inexpensively A/B split testing.

What Exactly Are You Going To Do To At Least Initially Get The Word out About Your Fabulous Products Or Services? (Without Having To Constantly Spend A Fortune!)

Let’s you currently own by yourself or co-own a non franchised gourmet coffee shop. And typical about 65-85% of your customers who get exposed to it for the very first time. Tend to convert into long term repeat customers.

Who consistently refer you new business. Plus they tend to become long term repeat customers.

Who not only constantly purchase 5,10 or 20 lb. bags of gourmet coffee from you. Bu they also purchase it for their siblings, co-workers, neighbors, in-laws and employees too.

So ultimately both you and or your major competitors just need more exposure. And the more often you can get it for literally pennies on the dollar. The more profitable your business will be or quickly become, correct?

So Why Not Start Implementing Some Type Of Potentially Profitable Opportunistic Marketing Strategies And Tactics!

A rather simple although not necessarily easy way to get your great tasting gourmet coffee some much needed marketing exposure for literally pennies on the dollar.

Is to power network with other local, non directly competing vendors. And have them offer one free Xtra large cup of gourmet coffee to their tribe (customers) and prospects.

Who do X, Y or Z. Case in point. A non franchised retail furniture store. Could send an extremely time sensitive email message to their subscribers who have:

 A.) Spent a bare bones minimum of X amount of dollars with the retailer.

B.) Have recently purchased a specific type of furniture within the last 3-6 months.

C.) Run a business or service and purchased at least X amount of furniture for their business or service.

Simply for dragging a friend with them to you or your major competitors store. Whose at least 18 before the ten or X day expiration date window expires.

They both get a one free Xtra large “Big Gulp” cup of gourmet coffee. Which is an X dollar value.

 Who Says Ethical Bribery Is Strictly Old School?

And if or since these locals own a successful business or service guess what? They constantly come in contact with at least the three following categories, correct

 A.) Their own full and part time employees.

 B.) Their current and future vendors. (Who by extension have at least these same three major categories.)

 C.) Their own current and future customers. (This one potential benefit alone could quickly become a major game changer.)

And to think it all potentially got started as a result of these locals getting exposed to you or your major competitors free Xtra large “Big Gulp” cup of coffee.

And anywhere from 65-85% of those recipients became long term repeat customers. My friend this is just an extremely small sample of “what” the right type of opportunistic marketing situations can ultimately lead to. Any questions?
