That’s a relief, because entrepreneur, for a minute it was starting to seem like you may view social media in general, and twitter in particular as just another platform for you to (well) toot your own horn!
And that’s hopefully not the way you see it, do you?
Three Powerful Life Lessons Using Twitter For Business Purposes Can And Will Teach You! (About Yourself!)
Ever heard it said, that you can learn a lot about a person by the company they keep! It’s true you know! But guess what else is equally revealing? Entrepreneur you can also learn an awful lot about the psyche of a business owner, just by the way they interact on social media in general and twitter in particular! Case in point: Observe the following three powerful life lessons, as they relate to your presence on twitter.
That is, if you’re truly serious about making more money!
1.) Powerful life lesson # one: Entrepreneur, when your parents, spouse or significant other etc; when they told you, that you were the only pebble on the beach! It wasn’t literal!
Translated: your entire social media marketing campaigns, can’t simply be a gigantic “It’s all about me” fest! Enough with the spamming your links three or four times a day already! Get social. Listen, observe then offer some really intelligent input!
2.) Powerful life lesson # two: No one tweet is going to put you over the top! Although, yet another clueless spamming of your latest greatest this or that! That nobody other than you truly cars about! May cause you to start losing followers left & right!
No my friend (life & business) are a lot like a single tweet. They are a series of single micro interactions! And just like actively tweeting, it takes an awful lot of them, before they add up!
3.) Powerful life lesson #three: And finally, if you don’t (immediately) see or recognize, that the twitter universe in particular and social media in general, are just like your overall business community at large.
And your particular niche in general. My friend, just like your last belly flop tweet, that barely got noticed, because all it was focused on was you! You’ll whined working way too hard! For practically little or no results!
Simply because your social media presence, doesn’t educate, inform entertain or serve! Yea, when it comes to effectively using twitter for business purposes.
There’s an awful lot it can teach you! Don’t you agree?

You’re right. Social media is for interacting, getting to know people, listening and also sharing. It can’t just be about spitting out your stuff. My focus on Facebook is interacting. With Twitter, it’s easy to get caught up in just posting my stuff because I don’t devote my time and attention there as much as I do on Facebook. I retweet and share other people’s stuff and I have some interaction, but not enough. I need to focus on that more on Twitter, but I just prefer spending my time on Facebook.

You definitely gotta go with what works, right Leanne?
And if Facebook is where the vast majority of your target audience is, that’s definitely
where you’d better be or your major and future competitors will be glad to step in
and attempt to fill that void!
From what I can see from the excellent posts that I’ve read on your blog, that simply
ain’t gonna happen!LOL!
I can remember how clueless I was when I first got active on twitter!
My nick name could of and should have been “the spam king!”LOL!
There I was not interacting at all! Just spamming! And wondering how and I why I
was totally missing the boat! Oh how sad!
It’s obvious that you’ve found at least one of your vehicles on social media!
Keep it going! And please don’t be stranger going forward!
