Three Simple Ways To Tell If You're Social Media Marketing Deficient!

Three Simple Ways To Tell If You’re Social Media Marketing Deficient!

Be honest, have you ever said to yourself when it comes to “social media marketing” , what’s all this fuss about anyway? If you have at some point, you’re not alone.

Even though the likes of twitter and Facebook (between them) have a gazillion active users. Believe it not, there’s still a ton of traditional small business owners that simply have not, and (sadly) have no intentions of becoming active, anytime soon on any of the various social media platforms.

Their thinking, more or less seems to be, who’s got time for all of this nonsense anyway? They simply have no clue “how” being active on social media, can possibly help them keep the lights on!

This post is specifically dedicated to that sub group within that same group, that simply has no clue about social media  at all! Here’s three tell, tell signs that you might be in the latter group!

Three Surefire Signs To Tell If You’re Social Media Marketing Deficient!

Sadly, a ton of otherwise extremely savvy small business owners (and) even some old school service providers, simply don’t get what all the fuss is about being active on social media!

You might be in that category too, if you’ve ever said or thought any of the following three things!

1.) Surefire sign #one: My friend, you and or a valued colleague and or associate is definitely social media marketing deficient if you’ve ever thought to yourself. (Or said out loud), “WTF” is all this social media **** about anyway? Sound familiar?

2.)  Surefire sign #two: Next, my friend you’re definitely social media marketing deficient if you (and or) a valued colleague, constantly find yourself saying things like, “Facebook is just for HS & college students!(With way too much time on their hands!)

How many times have you heard that one? (Just within the last 60 days alone?)

Let’s be clear; you can definitely increase your profits by strategically using the various social media platforms! But if you’re not strategic, then your assumption might be justified in presuming FB is just for youngsters or overly ambitious-career minded politicians- with way too much time on their hands!

3.)  Surefire sign #three: And finally… You’re definitely social media marketing deficient if you or a valued colleague constantly find yourself saying things like; ” Who’s got time to tweet, when you’re busy trying to run a real business?”

That’s the anti “social media marketing” small business owner ‘s motto. Entrepreneur, if you or anyone you know, says anything close to those three things. My friend, guess what? You’re most definitely social media marketing deficient. Don’t you agree? Pleas share your thoughts in the comments section below!

  1. I had to laugh when I read this Mark because my brother said the same thing. Granted, he’s on Facebook but only to keep up with what his son is doing since he works on a cruise ship and we don’t see him for four months or more at a time.

The other thing though is that his business, although he has a website and that’s how his customers access his information, he’s one of the few that will not personally benefit from social media.

Okay, he could probably get a few more customers perhaps but he’s in a specialized field and he deals with a lot of commercial and residential landscapers. He also works with mud districts and cities so there is much more face to face business taking place than online.

I think it was probably two years ago that I read somewhere that everyone who has a business should have a blog accept a select few industries like construction workers, etc. I think he falls into that category but for the most part, I think most businesses would benefit from using social media because that’s where their clients are.

    • Thanks for stopping by coach!

Who knows, maybe somewhere down the line, in the not so distant future, someone in his industry will figure out a way to
make social media work for them. Perhaps even your brother! Time will tell.

But thanks no less to some very good and capable people such as yourself.

That’s no longer the case for me! As always, thanks for dropping by and showing your support coach! It’s greatly appreciated!
