You’re logging a lot of hours in trying to not only build, but maintain your business as well, correct?
And certainly, while you’ere in the process of doing that; the last thing you need is for someone or something to be simultaneously working against you efforts, correct? Agreed. Because consistently being productive, is definitely a multi faceted process. Is it not?
On the other hand, does it really make sense that you have people or systems in place, that actually hurt or stifle your company’s current or future productivity?
While this situation may sound counter intuitive, believe it or not; if you or your business is guilty of any of the following three charges.
Then my friend, you’re basically applying your very own version of self imposed productivity limits.
You’d probably agree that trying to build a profitable business (even under) the best conditions, is challenging enough, right? So there’s no need to cause any additional self inflicted wounds.
Three Incredibly Simple Reasons Why Your Business May Not Currently Be As Productive As It Could And Should Be!
First of all, (have you ever noticed) what happens when you go to the grocery to shop (or you get sent) by your spouse or significant other; and if you don’t have a specific written grocery list.
Ever notice how much more money you typically spend? And how you’ll very often, still no get all the items you actually originally went to the store to get? Bingo!
One of the biggest reasons for this all too common mishap, is because you didn’t have something as simple a written list!
Nod your head cadets, because it’s true. Which brings us to this first of three very important points.
1.) Lack of productivity secret # one: With regards to the (active) use of social media while your employees are (either) on the job and or on the premises of your business.Entrepreneur, do yourself a favor and commit to creating your written policy towards the do’s & don’ts with social media while their the clock!
Because it’s so incredibly easy for one (or more) of them to do serious (and or) permanent damage to you companies brand and or image, tweeting something, that a current or potential customer (and or a co-worker) finds offensive in some way!
Or maybe one of your employees and or manager tweets or posts something on Facebook that’s of a political nature. And of course, either a potential customer and client or co-worker disagrees with it and invariably all hell breaks lose!
Or then again, maybe you’re simply spending anywhere from 15 to 25 per week all over social media, when you could and should be dedicating your extremely valuable time pro-actively growing your business and not merely passing the time mindlessly on social media!
Just think; if all that time you’re currently spending on social media (is) or at some point will (in fact) increase your bottom line. Then by all means keep doing it! The bottom line, if you don’t currently have any type of written policy, about what they can or can’t do, with regards to what they can and can’t post on social media etc. Your overall productivity is and will continue to under perform.
Meaning- you’re far to reliant on the actions of one particular segment of your customer and client base etc. Then it’s simply a matter of time before your business will implode!
Think about it for just a second. One or two (really) major accounts, make up a staggering 70-85% of your company’s gross revenue! What happens if they decide to find another supplier, or go with one of your major competitors?
Or if they in fact (for whatever reasons), simply go out of business? Where does that leave you? That is so not a good place to be in. Don’t you agree?
Hopefully You’re Not The Smartest Person In The Room Are You?
3.) Lack of productivity secret # three: And finally. Ladies & gentlemen, when it comes to not only successfully growing your business and maintaining it as well. If the vast majority of the ideas (marketing) and or otherwise.
If the vast majority of them only come from you! (I hate to have to be the one to tell you this!)But you’re in deep stuff!
