So given the choice entrepreneur. Are you more likely to go for building relationships? Or steadily increasing your ad budget. Clearly both approaches can and will work. Provided you have enough money and proven advertising or promotional budget.
You can start strategically scaling your ad spend. And as long as you’ve got fairly reliable conversion rates. You or your major competitors can probably make a go of things.
However, on the flip side of things. If both your pockets and your marketing patience is sort of thin. You may run out of money or patience before you actually figure things out.
And ultimately fail. When you’re oh so close to some major prolonged success. It happens far more than you may think or currently realize.
So let’s focus on you or your major competitors steadily building some rock solid relationships. Okay? And closely watch what starts to consistently happen..
Right About Now You Have To Be Wondering How Do You Build Positive Relationships?
And the really short answer is. Like you build any other potentially valuable relationship, personal or professional. You constantly nurture it over time. Case in point. Suppose you wanted to inexpensively, yet strategically get the word out about some of your extremely great tasting gourmet coffee.
And other exotic beverages. Provided your corporate pockets are deep enough. And you have tons of marketing patience to boot. You could settle on constantly running those outrageously expensive, dismally performing traditional ad or promotional campaigns.
Which a staggering 90 plus percent of your major competitors do. Or you could decide to get just a little bit more creative with your marketing/promotional efforts.
And have local, non directly competing vendors. Help you get your great tasting coffees, teas, lemonades and cocoas directly in the hands of consumers who will absolutely fall in love with them. How you so skeptically ask?
It’s A Whole Lot Easier And Far Less Expensive TO Ethically Bribe Your Way Into The Hearts Of Your Ideal Prospects! (Than It Is To Try And Advertise Your Way Into Their Extremely Busy Lives!)
Say for example. You’d like to initially expose as many local, affluent and influential women to your great tasting gourmet coffee and other extremely popular beverages to. For literally pennies on the dollar. But the obvious $64,000 dollar question quickly becomes. How or where do you or your major competitors consistently find clusters of affluent and highly influential local women?
Where you can either start testing your lead generating ad campaigns on. Or somehow creatively promote to them for long term maximum profitability. What about starting with a few local upscale daycare facilities. Say what?
Think about the long term marketing possibilities for just a second. First of all. Both the women (and possibly men) who work in a rather upscale daycare facility.
In all likelihood, they have:
1.) Extremely close family members who probably love drinking great tasting gourmet coffee or some of the previously mentioned beverages. Right? The odds are extremely good.
2.) Extremely close friends, some of whom love drinking great tasting coffee. Agreed?
3.) Extremely close neighbors they can both tell and periodically share a cup or two with, right? No doubt.
4.) Extremely close ex- neighbors or ex-co-workers they can both tell and periodically share a cup or two with. Plus periodically share on social media.
Look at all of this potential, free viral word of mouth and mouse exposure. You or your major competitors can consistently generate. For literally pennies on the dollar.
Once You Get The Marketing Ball Rolling! (Your Marketing Creativity Will Help Keep It Rolling!)
Seriously consider the following, previously untapped marketing possibilities. The daycare has (maybe) twice a year. Open house events.
Where they invite their ideal prospects to come and view their facility. And guess whose extremely great tasting coffee or ice tea or lemonade these ideal local prospects will be sampling? Bingo.
And you best believe at least some of those local, affluent and influential women in attendance. Will want to know how or where the can purchase some of this great tasting coffee or whatever for either:
1.) Their current employees. If they happen to own or co- own a local business or service.
2.) Their current co-workers.
3.) Their current neighbors.
4.) Or their current friends or extremely close family members.
And of course it certainly doesn’t hurt. If the daycare makes their prospects aware. Every person or couple who enrolls their kids before the end o the event. They not only receive a nice incentive discount percentage of X. But simply for joining your VIP opt in email or text message list.
They automatically get to purchase a twenty pound bag of gourmet coffee of their choice. (Provided it’s in stock.) And they get their very first twenty lb. bag at your actual hard cost of X. So hopefully going forward.
You now better appreciate “why” building relationships is definitely worth your time and effort. Don’t you agree?
