(Just Make The Necessary Adjustments To Your Long Term Marketing And Growth Perspective!)
Entrepreneur those of of you with teenage kids or even teenage grand kids. Would you trust them with $50,000 dollars in cash, at their current age and relatively limited real life experiences? For most of you. Your brutally honest answer is a resounding no, correct?
And for totally good reasons, right? They definitely need a little more real world/life experiences seasoning, correct? Entrepreneur just as being successful in life. So it goes in building a successful business and or service. You and I would be incredibly wise.
To embrace the potential long term benefits of incrementally smarting small. And hopefully steadily growing from there. Don’t you agree?
Who Says Starting Off Small Plays To Your Long Term Disadvantage?
Case in point. Ladies & gentlemen, “how” many of you have heard something similar to the following. In America, those ” over the age of 21. Rates the fear of “public speaking” over the “fear of dying!” Pretty powerful stuff. Would you not agree?
Now let’s try and add some, (hopefully) far more meaningful context to this particular overall theme. I’m sure at least some of you reading this. Would like to do more strategic guest podcasting on relevant podcasts, correct?
But let me ask you a question right here. If a relevant podcast, with a total of say 500 subscribers. Offered you the opportunity to be their guest.
And because of your current lack of major “household” name recognition. They anticipated only 30% or 150 subscribers would actually download the episode. You’re scheduled to appear on.
Fellow profit seeking entrepreneur would you readily accept their invitation? Or would you, (like so many others playing the short game!) Hold out and instead pursue opportunities to be a guest on relevant podcasts with a minimum subscriber base of 100,000 or more!
Here’s How And Where Strategically Starting From Scratch Can Potentially Play To Your Long Term Advantage! (Provided You Develop The Right Mindset And Long Term Marketing Perspective!)
Now for a little more real world context. Let’s say you and or a major competitor each gets invited to speak at a local organizations monthly or quarterly event.
And the organization currently has a total of 500 local members. And 30% or 150 members have either paid their entrance fee. (If there is one. (500 x .30% = 150 attendees.)
Or have committed to attend the live event you or your major competitor(s) have also committed to speak at. Ladies & gentlemen can you readily appreciate the fact.
You and or one of your major competitors are about to get free marketing exposure to an audience of 150, at least semi influential individuals! 😀 (Let those numbers sink in for just a second.)
150 locals, who also know on average at least 25 other locals each! Which potentially means. You impressive these 150 or X number of locals. And they each tell on average 25 other locals apiece.
And suddenly you’ve leveraged their reach. And now you’re positive word of mouth and mouse goodwill. Can potentially suddenly become 3,750. ( 150 x 25 = 3,750.)
You Definitely Don’t Need Everybody Ladies And Gentlemen! (Especially In The Beginning!)
A quick reality check is definitely in order here. Obviously not each of the 150 attendees or X number of them will help spread the word, agreed? But if you and I and or your major competitors over deliver in terms of value.
You can bet a certain percentage of those in attendance will definitely take to social media. And start routinely liking, commenting and sharing your/our content, agreed?
The point is entrepreneur. To those merely playing the short game. They’re, (but hopefully not you!) Potentially overlooking a tremendous opportunity. For inexpensively creating some major long term growth!
For literally pennies on the dollar. Just imagine if they, you or I. Got invited to speak locally. At least twice a month. For one or two years. And got to over deliver on average. To at least 150 locals or more, who attend each live event.
This One Enthusiastically Tells That One! (And So On And so Forth!)
And the 25 others hear about it affect constantly takes place. (Wanna attempt to do the math entrepreneur? I didn’t think so! 😎 The main point being this.
The main point being this ladies & gentlemen. Please don’t be too quick to turn up your nose to potentially profitable opportunities!
When it comes to potential guest podcasting invites. Because just like those seemingly tiny local audience invites. Can ultimately snowball into some major long term benefits! So too can those strategic guest podcast appearances.
On those smaller relevant podcast(s). Don’t you agree? My friend these are just a few of the potential long term advantages of strategically starting small. Any questions?
