Ladies & gentlemen when you or your major competitors have a realistic ideal “what” your ideal customers total lifetime customer value metrics are.
(Not to the penny initially, mind you.) But a realistic enough value. So you can sort of semi accurately gauge if the promotional or marketing strategy you’re about to test.
Is even worth inexpensively testing. Because it may actually be 200- 500% more beneficial for you and I to initially partner up in some mutually meaningful way.
Say strictly for hypothetical marketing illustration purposes only. Let’s say you own an extremely popular winery and premium beer distribution business.
Rather than continuously waste a fortune on outrageously expensive, hit and miss traditional ad campaigns. Instead laser focus on the type of local men & women who would not only love to sample your products.
But are 300-500% more likely to consistently tell a friend or two as well.
Word Of Mouth And Mouse Promotions Are Definitely Cool! (But Implementing A Proven Referral Generating Process Is A Whole Lot More Effective!)
Think about the type of men & women who spends anywhere from $300 – $1,100 dollars for a state of the art fishing pole or poles. And by extension the types of independently owned retail stores which gladly sell them to locals.
The locals who can afford such luxuries. Probably live in either. Extremely nice homes. Or rent or lease nice condos or townhouses. Drive really nice cars, trucks or SUV’s, correct?
And either work for or own they their own profitable businesses or services. And earn pretty good incomes too, correct? And in all likelihood so do most of their neighbors too. 😀
Entrepreneur look at all that potentially profitable low hanging fruit marketing opportunity. There’s potentially all types of previously untapped Joint Venture (JV) or cross promotional possibilities to be formed. Don’t you agree?
A few consistently tell a few. Who by in turn consistently tell a few both on and offline. And before you know it. You and or your major competitors literally have an army of positive word of mouth and mouse ambassadors constantly singing your praises. Where or how do I sign up? 😀
Ladies And Gentlemen It’s Definitely Okay To Give Yourself As Many Viable Marketing Options As Possible!
But suppose the extremely marketing savvy retailer and you were to at least test. Offering every one of their customers who:
A.) Either spent at least X number of total dollars.
B.) Or on one of the retailers traditionally slowest days of the week. As long as they drag a friend with them to the retailers store. Who’s at least 18.
C.) And for joining the retailers opt in email list. For their chance to enter the retailers monthly or quarterly free drawing.
They get ethically bribed for doing so. And receive an extremely time sensitive secondary prize worth X. Courtesy of the winery distributor.
The recipient gets an extremely time sensitive gift certificate. To save X% off either an extremely great tasting mid level bottle of wine of their choice. Or for an extremely limited time. They can purchase one 24 case of premium beer at the retailers actual hard cost.
Any one of these proven, extremely low cost marketing strategies and tactics. Should definitely cause at least a percentage of them to consistently tell a friend or two. Don’t you agree?
