So when you think about strategic blogging on any level. It probably has never -ever- crossed your mind, the amazing similarities, between strategic blogging and any type of offline power marketing, correct?
I didn’t think so, and quite frankly, this type of all too typical marketing vision oversight, really doesn’t surprise me in the least.
Part of the reason is, far too many aspiring marketers, simply think way too linear about everything.Meaning, they can barely see the overall forest, while looking at the trees.
The remainder of this post, will definitely try and connect the marketing dots for you.So let’s have a look under the hood, shall we?
So What In The World Does Strategic Blogging Possibly Have In Common With Offline Power Marketing?
So do you actually blog pretty regularly? If not, why not? And pretty regularly could just mean-at least- once a week. (To start.) But the real key is, (of course) dong the proper keyword research for your particular niche, but also, remaining extremely consistent over the long haul.
Case in point, since there are (basically) 52 weeks a year, by strategic blogging consistently -at least-once a week, over a three year period. Entrepreneur you now have a grand total of -at least- 156 potential bridges (blog posts) leading directly back to your (mobile responsive) WordPress blog.
And perhaps more importantly, if you occasionally blog more than once per week, every now and again. But even if you do, (right about now), you’ve got to be scratching your head and wondering out loud, what -if any- similarities are there between, your online strategic blogging efforts and any type of offline power marketing strategies. Correct?
Your Online Marketing Strategies Have Way More In Common With Your Offline Marketing Efforts Than May Readily Meet The Eye!
Here’s what I mean with regards to the similarities. (First) stop and consider one of my favorite go to examples, a successful offline jeweler.
And let’s suppose, in order to create some serious, long term word of mouth & mouse buzz, they aggressively go after several local (independently) owned, upscale women-s clothing and boutique shops.
Let’s say they approach both the owners and their predominantly female sales associates, and allow them to purchase some really -nice- eye catching diamond studded earrings, (valued at X).
And also an eye catching bracelet and a diamond studded necklace up to $1,000 dollars, but allow them to purchase them at the jewelers actual hard cost, plus any and all applicable taxes & fees etc. Say what?
And just to put it into context, let’s say after one years worth of extremely hard power networking, the jeweler now has 60 women, enthusiastically showing off their bling!
Which means, whenever brand new and repeat customers come into the store, they see the associates-extremely eye catching- jewelry, right? And whenever they attend family, friend, neighbor and or local social events, guess what they’ll be wearing? Right!
The Right Marketing Strategies Can And Will Have A Long Term Affect!
Those women (and some) men, are walking and talking billboards for the jeweler, right? And you best believe everywhere these women go, other ladies will definitely want to know where those ladies got their jewelry from. And how they can acquire some of their own correct? You better hurry up and know it!
And those ladies will never ever get tired of wearing their newly acquired bling, nor all the attention, doing so will most certainly bring!
And by the same token, with each blog post you publish, be it on your own blog and or as a guest blogger, on an extremely popular blog, like my small business and social media marketing expert Gail Gardner’s growmap.com blog.
Just like the jeweler, your blog post will remain somewhere in cyber space, for as long as your blog is active!Which means there’s always the opportunity, for your first time visitors, and or returning visitors, to (either) join your opt in email list. Or purchase from your affiliate links, and or direct sale letter links etc.
But other than your extremely valuable time, your blog posts are free advertisements and or promotions, which always have the potential of going viral, correct? You’d better believe it!
With that said, that’s the often overlooked connection, between your current strategic blogging efforts, and offline power marketing! Any questions? Now as is customary during this part of our show.
