  1. Referral business is a great idea Mark and I can see how rewarding the referring customer can help to build loyalty. From the email recipient perspective, I think the nature of the follow-up messages is critical to keeping those people on your list. Not long ago I opted into a list and right out again when on the very first day I was hit with 3 emails pitching me to buy something. Too much, too soon! Thanks for the inspiration and challenging us to get creative!
