As I was closely following some instructions from a multi seven figure a year earning online expert. And while doing some online research on Google. I came for like stumbled across some online content i had actually created about six months ago.
It was a guest podcast appearance I didn’t even remember doing. Say what? Which got me to thinking. How and why having a proactive content marketing strategy can be or quickly become more valuable than ever. But you definitely need to be strategic, not just busy.

As I previously mentioned, about six months ago I appeared as a guest on the “The One Broken Cog Podcast.”

So does the name Mitchell Slater of Slater Strategies fame. I recently appeared as a guest on his newly launched podcast.( And we both had a great time. See the screen shot image below.)

So both of these guest podcast appearances had temporarily skipped my mind. But even so. There is definitely some positive off page SEO (Search Engine Optimization) juice to be gained. Say what? For one thing it’s yet another quality back link pointing to my self hosted WordPress blog.
And it’s yet another opportunity for you and I to inexpensively get in front of a laser targeted audience.
And the best part is. When you and I (either) publish our own podcast or appearance as guest on other popular podcast. You typically get exposed to your target audience anywhere from 30-60 minutes.
So you get to bond with them on a much deeper level. Which makes it at least 500% or five time more likely the audience will consistently do one of the following four things.
1.) First: They are far more likely to start regularly reading your ‘how to” problem solving or entertaining blog.
2.) Second: They are 500% more likely to join at one of or join your main opt in email list.
3.) Third: They’re also extremely likely to purchase at least one or more of your lower priced products or services. And they’re also likely to purchase at least one or more of your higher priced products or services too.
4.) Fourth: They’re also extremely likely to help continuously spread the word both on and off of social media about your brand.
Which of course is priceless and exactly “what” you and I want, right?

You know it’s definitely good thing when you and I have done enough guest podcast appearances that you actually don’t remember doing them, right?
And the more of these you and I or your major competitors do. Google along with all the other major search engines pick these links up and consistently rank them pretty high on their S.E.R.P. pages (Search Engine Results Pages.)
And of course the higher you and I rank the more laser targeted eyeballs we get free (organic) exposure to. And hopefully you can appreciate the long term marketing leverage, right?
Unlike you and I or your major competitors constantly paying for ads. Here you and I do a strategic guest podcast and once it’s published and archived.
Future targeted eyeballs are able to gain benefits from it just like the original listeners did too. With no additional expensive to you or I. Plus unlike a paid ad campaign of any kind. You and I are steadily building cred and your brand for literally pennies on the dollar.
And don’t forget you and I or your major competitor(s) can and definitely should share the links to these get podcast appearances with both your social media followers and your steadily growing opt in email list subscribers.
