So What’s Really Preventing You From Creating Your Own Digital Products?
Ever thought about starting of opening an offline business of any kind? Like say a local grocery store. You’ll need a storefront, correct? And inventory and possibly full or part time employees, right?
If you try and open even a mom & pop style, single location pizza shop. Those used pizza ovens aren’t exactly cheap, right? And “if” you’re thinking of buying a franchise.
You’re definitely talking about investing some big bucks. (The investment is ongoing as well.) And if it’s an established franchise with a proven track record. You can bet the owner(s) will definitely want a nice chunk of change for it, right? On the other hand, what about you creating some type of digital products? Or providing some type of digital services?
Your cost are almost nothing by comparison, right? Think about it. A useful and extremely practical MP3 recording. Or an extremely helpful PDF (Portable Document File.)
Or a video series. A recording of a webinar. And in the case of a webinar recording. You or someone else creates it once. And you can create different types of cash flow generating opportunities from it going forward.
Or you can add additions to it. Or more advanced versions of it and make it more valuable. Sound like a plan or what?
Entrepreneur Digital Marketing I Not Only Extremely Low Cost! (But It’s Potentially Profitable As Well!)
Obviously you can see it’s me featured in the main image of this particular blog post, right? But “what” may not be as obvious to you just yet is.

But “how to” successfully grow your podcast. Just like he’s done. Honestly, “how” much time, effort and money do you think it takes, for you to record an MP3 recording? (Provided you’re sharing information or content which provides value to your target audience.) A 30-120 minute MP3 recording can and definitely will make a great, stand alone, low hanging fruit, opt in email building product.
Or you could sell it as a low hanging fruit offer. Which not only creates a paying customer, but helps you build a list of buyers who’ve joined your opt in email list as well.
Clearly some, 9if not!) a lot of you may not be comfortable enough to record a video. No worries because tons of aspiring entrepreneurs feel the exact same way. But the way some of you constantly yak on the phone. “What” exactly is your phobia about recording an MP3 audio clip? Or a series of them.
After all no one can see you. So it doesn’t matter if you’re recording your audio file in your workout clothes or a T- shirt or jeans and sneakers or flip flops etc.
(New flash: As long as your content, no matter what form it comes in is helping them solve or address their major concerns. They could care less ‘how” you or I share it.)

We used audacity. Which is an open source (free) piece of software. And I also recently upgraded my microphone. You hit record. And you can delete sort parts of your recording if you need to.
If you want you can add a professional intro and outro to your recordings. And start using it as an extremely cost effective, low cost lead generating asset. Or as an extremely time sensitive bonus product worth X.
Or you could sell it outright. ( Since you’re the creator or the product. Ultimately the choice is yours.) But creating an MP3 o a series of MP3 products isn’t that hard or time consuming, or too technical to create. And you only need to do it once. Or update and create new versions of them every now and again.
So the $64,000 dollar bur question is. Entrepreneur “what’s” your real reason for not creating your own -inexpensive- digital products? As soon as you do. You’ll definitely be on the road to creating some type of multiple streams of income.
