Any idea “how” many women nation wide voluntarily walk into a Victoria-s Secrets store? Me either, but whatever the actual number is. As of of right now, it’s no longer enough to prevent the big wigs from steadily closing stores each year all over the country.
Of course as the local women spend more and more money per visit this increase in each customers overall lifetime customer value metrics. The tide might be at least temporarily slowed enough to prevent more stores from closing.
Which definitely leads into the conversation of “how” Victoria-s Secrets (or you) can and definitely should be constantly profiting from some type of proven email marketing strategies and tactics. Don’t you agree?
Sometimes Your Very Best Lead Magnets Are Right Under You Or Your Major Competitors Noses!
Stop and consider the following ongoing expenses. Each individual store Victoria-s Secrets store literally has a ton of ongoing expenses, does it not? Obviously they’re paying extremely high monthly rent for the best commercial locations, right? They’ve got steadily mounting costs for the necessary inventory to constantly be shipped to each store, right?
They’ve got the ongoing and ever increasing expenses of full and part time staff. Plus the key upper management staff. They’ve got ongoing benefits of all types.
Which they need to offer in order to initially attract and retain key staff members, right? Entrepreneur you add these weekly and monthly expenses up nation wide.
And it quickly starts to become pretty obvious “why” a combination of a slowly national economy and steadily increases expenses, can easily put the squeeze on practically and profit seeking entrepreneur. Would you not agree?
So How In The World Does Or Will Some Type Of Strategic Email Marketing Strategies Or Tactics Possibly Make A Real Difference!
Great question and so glad you finally asked it. First of all with just one main state of the art WordPress website, instead of each individual store having their own website. Look at all of the self hosted fees being instantly eliminated from their total monthly expenses.
Then you throw in all of the ongoing monthly savings from no longer having to pay sky high commercial leases.
And (sadly!) you also eliminate the weekly payroll of all of those full or part time employees, along with their benefits etc. And hopefully you’re starting to see ‘how” they at least partially compensate for slowing sales.
But seriously consider the following. Let’s say the X remaining number of stores averages about 150 unique visitors six days a week. And at least 50% of them enthusiastically enter VS’s free monthly drawing. Huh?
So even though the store(s) may have announced they’re permanently closing within X number of weeks. A certain percentage of these (primarily) local women will gladly take their chances to try and be the 1st grand prize winner of the following extremely time sensitive offer.

And as they enthusiastically enter the free drawing. Now VS’s is capturing some of their hottest prospect/customers online contact information for long tern follow up (drip) email follow up campaigns.
And with all the money they’re now saving per month. They or their major competitors can easily afford to ethically bribe both prospects and customers into becoming opt in email subscribers, agreed?
And now they send follow up email campaigns with links to their one main website. And just ship all over the country and Internationally as well.
And of course systematically follow up with all the 99% who win extremely time sensitive 2nd grand prizes worth X. So even though X amount of offline stores ultimately close their doors permanently. Minus the X% who for whatever reasons decide to unsubscribe.
VS’s now has a red hot list of potential long term repeat customers they can:
A.) Periodically send extremely time sensitive offers to.
B.) Offer extremely time sensitive closeout sales merchandise to at Xtra deep discounted prices. But only make these extremely bargain basement prices available to their VIP opt in email subscribers.
C.) They can also survey their list and find out what other products or services they’re most interested in. And form strategic and mutually beneficial JV (Joint Venture) revenue sharing arrangements with.
Hopefully these rather basic- hypothetical marketing- examples properly demonstrate. How mega brand Victoria-s Secrets (Trade Marked) can and will continuously benefit simply by implementing some rather basic email marketing strategies and tactics. Don’t you agree? Me too.
