So have you ever attended, a local high school and or jr. college basketball game, where at halftime, a local person, takes a three quarter length shot, in the hopes of winning some really cool prize?
Maybe, they’re attempting to win, a three year lease on a luxury car.
And or, maybe they’ll win, their rent and or mortgage payment being made, for next 3- 6 months etc.
Whatever the actual prize or prizes are, the extremely savvy promoters behind these type of, positive word of mouth or mouse driven events, can definitely teach aspiring entrepreneurs, some potentially profitable marketing lessons.
Let’s have a much closer look, in order to discover, what these potentially profitable marketing lessons are.
So What In The World Can A Simple Half Time Sporting Event Possibly Teach Savvy Entrepreneurs About Successful Marketing?
Turns out quite a bit. However, in this particular post, the focus will be three primary, potentially beneficial marketing strategies and or tactics.
First, let’s focus on the three quarter length shot itself.Statistically speaking, when the average person attempts this three quarter length shot.
Basically, about one out of every 400 or more, will actually make the shot, correct? 😀 Entrepreneur, wanna take (a really) wild guess, what the conversion rate for the average consumer is? 😀
For sure it’s not good. Meaning, the odds (and or), the deck is most definitely stacked, against 99.9% of the shot takers, actually making the shot.
Now let’s see how, (if at all), these stats help aspiring entrepreneurs,(such as yourself) better structure their marketing strategies and or plans.
So How In The World Does These Extremely Popular Half Time Sporting Event Help Improve Your Lead Generation Strategies?
It’s pretty simple actually. You see, on average, for every one hundred unique, first time visitors, to your sites sales page.
If even one person, (meaning) one percent of them, decide to buy anything, your technically ahead of at least 98% of the average marketers online. Say what? Nod your heads cadets, because it’s true.
And if your sales page, averages anywhere from a 1-3% conversion rate. Congratulations, because you have now officially moved into an incredibly elite group of on or offline marketers.
But here’ the rub, let’s say your sale pages, averages the higher end of 3% conversions.
The flip side also reveals, on average, a staggering 97% of your very first time visitors,(sadly), are not only not buying anything on their very first visit.
But the vast majority of them, (once they leave your site), they’re not ever coming back.Ouch.
Savvy Entrepreneurs Know And Recognize Their Long Term Profits Will Be Created During Their Ongoing Follow Up Process!
So just like it definitely would not be wise for the average person, to bank on hitting the three quarters length shot, at a half time sporting event. On their very first attempt. 😀
It would and is, equally, potentially dangerous for aspiring online entrepreneurs (of any kind!), to try and rely on, the measly 1-3% of their initial first time visitors, to spend enough money, on their first and possibly, very last visit to your site.(Unless your products or services are literally worth thousands of dollars.)
This is why, you have to offer some type of benefit orientated, free list building ethical bride, in order to build, your opt in email/mobile marketing list.
This way, over time, you can not only establish, but continuously build rock solid credibility with your subscribers over time.
Your Creative Entrepreneurial Ideas Can And Definitely Will Help Improve Your Overall Marketing Results!
So while the vast majority of your online marketing competitors, continually struggle, because just like those hopeful patrons, attempting the incredibly difficult, three quarter length shot.
You’ll basically, (going forward), after starting your market tested, opt in email/mobile marketing, follow up drip campaigns.
You’ll build rock solid trust with your subscribers so much faster, and far less expensively, than the vast majority of your major online competitors will.
Simply because unlike them, you will no longer be relying solely on, an extremely low closing ratio, front end sales process, which relies heavily on a measly 1-3% sales conversion ratio.
And instead, you’ll strategically build your list, by inexpensively testing, various, free lead magnets.
Savvy Entrepreneurs Never Stop Inexpensively Testing In Order To Achieve Maximum Profit Potential! (And Neither Should You!)
And once you discover, which particular ethical bribe/lead magnet(s), consistently produce the best results.
You’ll know which one(s) to roll out big time. And you just lowered your front end cost, while simultaneously raised, both your initial front and back end profit potential.
So are you now, starting to better appreciate, the potentially profitable marketing lessons, aspiring entrepreneurs (such as yourself), can and definitely should learn, from a simple half time sporting event? I sincerely hope so.
P.S.Now as is customary during this part of our show.

Great advice as always Mark. I certainly agree with the importance of follow up, but taking a step back I just want to emphasize the point you’ve made about the initial offer being something of quality. Whatever that is, it tells the person on the receiving end volumes about you and how much care and attention you put into your work. I was reminded of this just a few days ago when I signed up (which I rarely do these days) for updates from a well-known blogger. Instead of the valuable “guide” promised, what I received was a list of links to posts in their archives! How lazy is that?! Needless to say, I quickly unsubscribed. Thanks for the inspiration!

Isn’t that sad M!
And yet, oh so common! And the people
don’t even have to be gurus or guruetes.
You sort of see this type of attitude all over the place
online.
It’s a sort of complacency and arrogance, to think you just
get away with treating potential customers/clients, an sort of
way.
And irregardless, they will just magically stick around. Like you M,
I too have had more than my fair share of cheesy treatment online. LOL!
Thanks so much for relaying your story.I greatly appreciate it.
Enjoy your upcoming holiday season and beyond.
