So What Powerful Marketing Lesson Can You Learn From Your Local Grocery Store?

So do you have a favorite local grocery store that you frequent? And for whatever reasons you keep going back, correct? It might the overall lower prices, generally fresher produce or top flight customer service etc.

Whatever your primary reasons are, that grocery store can also teach you an extremely profitable marketing lesson, indirectly as well.

Of course they invest tons of money on local radio & TV ads, and also do their share of outrageously expensive Sunday, newspaper flyer inserts etc.

But one of the things they often do, (and sadly) so do far too many of their local competitors, that incrementally negatively affects their overall bottom line profits!

So What Exactly Is This Seemingly Powerful Marketing Lesson That You Can And Should Learn From Your Local Supermarket?

Actually just before you discover what this incredibly powerful, yet oh so simple marketing strategy is. Here’s a quick question for you. Have you ever heard it said: “It’s the little things that often get cha!”

Relate that to the following simple question: “Have you ever been bitten by an elephant? How about a mosquito?” Hopefully now you get the point! So with that said here’s the skinny.

You walk into one of your favorite local supermarket chains and grab the usual suspects, then you head over to grab some bread (or X.) And that’s when it happens! They moved x! To where and more importantly “why?”

Now on the surface, you’re probably thinking, what’s the big deal?So they moved the bread or X! My friend, if you truly don’t believe “how’ much this adversely affects your bottom line. Ask any long time shopper (especially) a senior, who’s been patronizing that particular chain for years!

How much they like it when things (for no apparent good reasons), gets moved! And you’ll get an ear full! And maybe a little closer to home, is this all too common occurrence. You walk into your local small Mom & pop computer repair shop and practically every time you do, guess what?

They’ve got yet another new face at the counter! Translated: It makes the business look partially unstable! Your customers get into a routine, then you go and rearrange their routine, for no good reason! Did they ask (or) demand the bread (or X) be moved? Nope!

And so it goes with you and your current blogging patterns. If you currently blog less than three times per week.

Entrepreneur do (both) yourself and your readership a really big favor! Pick out a couple of set days and stick to them! And be as consistent as you know what! Because just like those customers that shop at their favorite supermarket chain, your most loyal readers desperately need and want consistency!

Stop moving the bread! (For no good reason.) And stop bouncing around and constantly changing the two or three days a week that you blog! And that’s a powerful marketing lesson worth paying attention to! Don’t you agree?
