This post makes perfect sense Mark! Guess I never thought about it because it was too easy LOL.
I do find it much more interesting to read about someone’s actual experiences, provided they add some type of theory or studies or stats to it (that is my left brain talking now). I am going to give it a whirl and see if that type of content gets more attention on my blog.
Thanks for the insight.
Sorry about your site being hacked. I thought something was wrong because I kept going back to your site every couple of days to comment and was unable to access it. Glad you got through it!

Hello Mark
Great post ! I am in total agreement with you we all have some some amazing stories to tell that would definitely put us on the N.Y Times best sellers list. Even though I give out small tid bits to my readers you are definitely motivating me to crank a few chapters out.
I also agree with Marquita as far as these stories give people hope that they too can believe and achieve and overcome tough situations in their life journey. Thanks for sharing this insightful and value-packed post

Thanks for your totally awesome comments and compliments Darrell!LOL!
And you really have touched on something that’s quite literally true, that I
hadn’t even considered, until you pointed it out! Thanks!LOL!
How many previously unknown (or highly well known) individuals, have unfortunately gone through
and experienced things, most of us should be eternally grateful, we have
not had to experience!LOL!
And not only turned their tragedy into a best NY times selling book!Or series of books!
But also parlayed the book sales, into an extremely lucrative speaking business!
And to top things off, because of the sales of their book, Hollywood eventually came calling,
and converted their book into a series of box office winners!
Just ask funny man Steve Harvey about the success of his “Think Like A Man” book/screen play rights
royalty checks, if that approach is lucrative!LOL!
Great insights Darrell! Thanks so much for sharing them!

I could not agree more Mark! And I can tell you why people like this type of content because it gives them hope. If you can overcome challenges in your life and business, then so can they! It’s THE reason so many people who have survived a major life trauma end up as motivational speakers. Well, that and because it pays well, but most that I’ve known genuinely want to offer a message of hope. 🙂

That is an excellent pint M!LOL
How did you ever become so insightful my dear!LOL!
But your point is so well taken! Tons of individuals, after surviving and
a really harsh situation, discovered their stories truly do offer genuine hope
and possibilities to an for so many others!
And before they knew it, (as you pointed out), they’ve authored books,
created courses, posted inspirational youtube videos, created blogs, and started
being invited to speak and share their insights all over the world!
And before they realized it, have a seven or eight figure grossing a year
business!LOL!
Sounds good to me! M, in know way am I trying to personally be motivating and or
inspirational in my tone!
But if it does that for certain individuals, that’s fine with me! Thanks so much
for taking the time to stop by and share your thoughts and extremely helpful incites!
I always look forward to them!
