Think about why your online visitor initially turns to the web and why they use the search engines (especially) the mack daddy of them all, Google.

In  the beginning, your online visitor is actively seeking answers (in short) quality “how to” problem solving information. In order to help them make a quality buying decision at some point  down the road.

And if their initial search renders some really good free problem solving information.

Guess what? They feel beholding to the supplier of that info. And that my friend, is where your special lead capture page and or WordPress blog comes into play.

Your Market Tested Lead Magnets Aren’t An Expense They’re An Investment!

(Refer to the previous post on examples of relationship marketing, for creative ideas on effectively using your lead capture page to build a huge opt lists for peanuts!)

Because one of the big advantages you can gain over your other on or offline major competitors (believe it) or not, is by putting your visitors immediate needs above your own.

In other words,  in the very beginning of your initial relationship, you be the company to address their most burning questions and or concerns, by constantly creating free quality “how to” problem solving information products, (for lead generation purposes) and or positioning your company within your specific niche as the much sought after go to expert(s) and watch how fast your business will shoot to the top of their list!

Which means, you want to offer some extremely valuable free information on your lead capture page and or your WordPress blog in at least one of the following four forms :

A.) A powerful free single (and or) multi part 30-90 minute power interview series. And demonstrate your expertise by, letting another colleague interview you. Or vise versa.

Or you just be one segment of the multi part audio interview series that you record on one of the free online services such as free conference calls dot com and simply record it and make the recordings available to your online visitors by having them opt in to receive it.

(Which also means you’re definitely gonna need a state of the art paid email autoresponder service.)

B.) You already know how smoking hot video marketing is,correct? So you might record a camtasia video screen capture series and post the first X number of minutes to your free youtube account, with a link pointing to either your lead capture page and or your blog.

And your visitors simply opt in (join ) your list in order to see the entire video and or receive the remaining videos in  the series, if it is a series.

C.) Create a free ebook that contains problem solving info and your affiliate links and or sales page links, and let them opt in in order to get it.

D.) And finally, create a free X number of pages PDF file (Portable Document File) similar to the one being offered on this blog and offer it to them for free in exchange for their email information.

The main point is, initially, since your first time visitor is not yet specifically looking to buy anything from anybody (in at least) 99% of the cases. Instead of trying to go for the sale on their very first visit to your site, (and scaring them off for good) instead strategically shift gears and become a “how to”  problem solving information service provider fanatic!

1.) The information helps brand you as a trusted and respected expert within your specific niche!Please, whatever you do, don’t ever underestimate the power of branding!

Because this allows you to cut through all the normal skepticism that your (all too) typical first time online visitor has. And once you’re branded as a respected go to source, it automatically makes it 500% easier for you to effectively market affiliate products and or services down the line.
