The power of segmenting  (Because Doing So Can Often Lead To Discovering Some Previously Hidden Profit Centers!)

Have you ever entered any type of local free drawing of any kind? (And by chance did you win either 1st, 2nd or 3rd place?) See or notice the featured image for this particular blog post?

Any idea what that’s all about? A picture of a trophy. It’s really suppose to represent winning the 1st grand prize of some kind.

Because doing so is such an emotionally satisfying feeling, is it not? 😀 But as an extremely marketer savvy entrepreneur. It also opens the door for you and I to strategically utilize and profit from the power of segmenting. Say what?

Building Momentum Is Such A Gradual And Continuous Forward Process!

Have a look at this hypothetical marketing example. Which should clearly illustrate several potentially valuable marketing concepts. As they relate to the undeniable power of segmenting. In this particular case your opt in email lists.

In the case of a local, non franchised retail appliance center or non franchised retail furniture concern.

Suppose they (or you!) Hold a monthly free drawing. During the summer months. When a higher average percentage of locals tend to shop offline. (All things considered.)

You or your major competitors host a monthly free drawing. (But get this first strategic use of power segmentation.) Your monthly free drawing is only for local business owners and local service providers. 😀

Inside your store. Pretty much in the middle of your store. You have a giant four way sign. Which means your daily customers. Can both see it and enter it.

No matter which side of the sign they see. Pretty cool and convenient, right? 😀 They just go to the lead capture page address they see. And enter their specific information.

(Making darn sure they list the official name of their business and or service. Ladies & gentlemen do you see a rather easy opening to leverage all of the instore daily traffic which doesn’t currently own a local business and or service? I sincerely hope so! 😎

Growing Through Collaboration Is No Longer An Option! It’s Now A Necessity!

Before totally shattering the myth of not needing collaboration partners (aka) Joint Venture and or JV partners of any kind. Notice how you and or your major competitors have both strategically and seamlessly. Segmented a certain percentage of your in store daily foot traffic. 😀

That’s your first master marketing/promotional move. Next, each month or each quarter. You and or your major competitors awarded dual 1st prizes. (Say what? 😎

One male and one female grand 1st prize winner! Why so skeptically ask? Actually there are potentially at least three potentially profitable reasons for doing so.

But in the interest of time. And out of respect for my long term repeat clients. 😀 Here’s just one of them. (Maybe your creative marketing juices will help you come up with your own marketing twists.) In any event.

There’s Always A Ton Of Previously Untapped Marketing Leverage To Be Monetized!

Think about what’s probably going through those locals in the store. Who own a local business and or service. And they realize there will be not one.

But two 1st grand prize winners! One local male or local female business owner or service provider. And guess what else?

At least a percentage of them have employees, vendors and extremely loyal  customers, do they not? And all of those just mentioned.

Are you starting to smell the potential long term marketing/promotional possibilities? (Me too! :-D)

And all of those previously mentioned, personally know at least a bare bones minimum of 25 other locals, right? 😀 I trust you’re also having one of those creative light bulb moments too!

And that’s just an extremely small benefit and advantage. And further proves the power of segmenting. Any questions?
