Isn’t It Time You Fully Embraced Some Creative Marketing Ideas For Small Business! Part Two

Now that you’ve had a chance to read and hopefully re-read part one of this ongoing series. You definitely should have a far more comprehensive understanding and appreciation. Of why you should be fully embracing some type creative marketing ideas for small business owners and service providers. Correct? Agreed.

Because going forward. You should start to notice more and more previously untapped marketing or previously untapped promotional opportunities.

Where you or your major competitors can get the word out. Without either having to borrow a dime of institutional money. Nor having to court potential private investors money.

Nor wasting another nickel on those outrageously expensive, dismally performing traditional ad or promotional campaigns. So what’s left which is worth pursuing you so skeptically ask? Great question. Am I’m so glad you finally asked….

So What Type Of Client Retention Strategies Or Tactics Should You Initially Embrace?

Great question. Quickly picking up where part one left off. Your extremely popular beverage distributorship. Successfully formed a mutually beneficial JV (Joint Venture) partnership with at least one local, non franchised printing business owner.

Because this local printing business owner. Constantly comes in contact with your ideal customers. Both directly and indirectly. Via their current and future customers. Via their current and future employees and via their current and future vendors.

You thrown in a certain percentage of their best inactive customers being systematically reactivated. And maybe 30-50% of the above mentioned potential customers being converted (over time of course!) into some reliable, long term repeat customers for literally pennies on the dollar.

And you or your major competitors are literally of to the races. Say for instance.

After you discover what traditionally (depending on) what particular season is being referenced. Which are their two traditional slowest days of both the winter and summer months.

You or your major competitors set up a portable table. And serve both the printers employees, customers and vendors free large cups of some of your very best tasting gourmet coffee. During the brutally cold winter months. And extremely large cups of ice tea or lemonade. (their choice!) During the brutally hot summer months.

Are You Definitely Starting To Appreciate How Viral Word Of Mouth And Mouse Spread Both On  And Off Of Social Media!

For just a moment. Switch places with a potential long term customer of a local, single location, non franchised printing business customer. You walk in during a typical brutally cold winter day.

And to your complete surprise. Because nobody you know either emailed, texted, called you direct. Nor did you hear about it via social media. And there’s a little make shift table. Where you and the customers are told via a huge sign and an attractive set of local ladies. (Courtesy of the beverage distributor.)

These ladies provide the first 100 or X number of customers, employees and vendors who stop by on those two designated days of the week. Both during the summer and winter months.

They automatically get to sample a free Xtra large cup of extremely great tasting gourmet coffee. And they also get an extremely time sensitive gift certificate.

And based on how much they spend with the printer. They save accordingly. Say what? Say for example. Every customer who spends $15 dollars or more. They automatically get three totally unexpected bonuses worth X.

 1.) Totally unexpected bonus # one: Every customer who spends over X amount of dollars. They will automatically receive an extremely time sensitive laminated card  courtesy of the printer. Where they get their one page copies at cost for the next 90 or X number of days. With no minimum purchase requirements necessary. Say what? This is a proven way to temporarily lock these valued customers in.

So they come back more often. And spend even more money with you or your major competitors. Plus you know they’ll help spread the word both on and off of  social media.

So Are You Finally Starting To Better Appreciate The Potential Long Term Profitable Generating Possibilities From Word Of Mouth And Mouse Marketing Buzz?

2.) Totally unexpected bonus # two: Next. As long as they spent over $15 or X amount of dollars. They automatically receive an extremely time sensitive gift certificate from? You guessed it. The gourmet coffee distributor.

And these two sided, market test gift certificates. Side (A.) informs the recipient to come to your showroom. Before the handwritten expiration date, written in the top right hand corner expires.

And for doing so they save 10% off their first or very next purchase. If they come alone. However simply for dragging a friend, co-worker or neighbor with them etc. Whose at least 18 before the expiration date.

They automatically get to buy a twenty pound bag of the gourmet coffee or cocoa of their choice. And of course if it’s summer they get to buy a 48 case of ice tea or lemonade of their choice. (at your actual cost.) Provided they’re also one of your VIP opt in email or text message subscribers.

Your Marketing Creativity Is Only Limited By Your Imagination!

3.) Totally unexpected bonus # three: Here’s another really cool marketing twist. Your beverage distributorship will also provide the printers first 100 or X number of customers per day. On the traditionally two slowest days of the week.

During both summer and winter. These 100 or X number of customers who spend at least $15 or X amount of dollars or more.  You supply the printer with at least 200 total plastic Xtra large “big Gulp” mugs. Say what?

This way whenever they come in on those designated days. In both the summer and or winter months. And they bring their “Big Gulp” mug with them. Not only do they get a free cup of extremely great tasting coffee, cocoa, ice tea or lemonade.

But they simply show their cup. And they also automatically save an additional 10 or X% off their order too. say what? How do you suppose this will help both you and the printers businesses? Especially long term.

(BTW, you can and should at least inexpensively test this exact same proven marketing/promotional process with a local, Mom & pop owned computer repair business. Don’t you agree?)

Going forward. How do you strategically plan to, if nothing else. Start inexpensively testing some of these creative marketing ideas for small business owners or service providers?
