Introducing three common sense business marketing ideas that can and will put more money in your pocket now!

(Regardless Of The Type Of  Business, Product Or Service That You Market!)

Of course you already realize that you need to apply some common sense (every now and then) to your small business marketing ideas, right?

Isn’t it odd, how many otherwise savvy small business owners and service providers you know, seem to not apply basic common sense when it comes to successfully marketing their business, product or services?

Why Has Good Old Common Sense Small Business Marketing Ideas Suddenly Taken A Back Seat!

Case in point: how many times have you seen a business card, flyer or piece of business stationary, that didn’t have the business owners, website and or blog address on it? You’re kidding right?

You didn’t just spend all that time and money developing this thing and not include your web address on it! Yep, they sure did!

Here’s another extremely important point. So please listen up. You’d better  stop (asap)  ignoring all that  potential free positive exposure to your cash starved small business and or service, that’s available to you via social media in general.

Twitter and Facebook specifically. Because whether you want to acknowledge it or not, both your current and future competitors are gaining market share via those platforms, but more importantly your current and future customers and clients are constantly being exposed to your major competitors there as well!

Good Small Business Marketing Ideas, Don’t Have To Be Complicated In Order To Work!

Another biggie. Stop under estimating the power of the all mighty referral! Think about this side by side comparison for just a moment. Think about your average 30-60 second commercial, and think about your average sales rep.

Both are basically trying to do what? Selling you something. Bingo!

But stop and consider this train of thought. At least 90% of the time (or more) whenever a trusted friend, colleague, associate and or relative recommends either a business, product or service to you.

They typically have absolutely no ulterior motive(s) for doing so! Plus, according to Paul and Sarah Edwards (authors of the mega best selling book, “Getting Business To Come To You!”, as much as 45% of most service businesses are chosen because of the recommendation of someone else!

What Ever Happened To Good Old Common Sense Business Marketing Ideas?

And finally there is this odd train of thought. How many otherwise savvy small business owners and or service providers, do you see passing out (either) business cards and or flyers to complete strangers at shopping malls or at social functions etc!

Trying in vain to attract complete strangers (99%) of whom, have shown little or no current interest in learning more about your business, product or service.

When there is a ready made pool of hungry eager potential customers and clients, just waiting for them online in various niche orientated forums! No one forced them to register to the forum and they’re only too anxious to have a qualified expert like yourself share your proven expertise!

But instead the cash starved, struggling  small business owner and or service provider, prefers to chase after could be’s and (probably) never will be’s! There’s old saying on Wall Street! “Common sense, is not too common!”
