How To Quickly Revive An Outrageously Expensive Failed Marketing Campaign!

(And Add A Ton Of Brand New First Time Customers While You Do So!)

So have you ever spent a bunch of money, on any type of, outrageously expensive, conventional advertising/ promotional campaigns of any kind?

And (honestly) how did they actually do?

For some odd reason, companies with semi deep corporate pockets, love to spend enormous amounts of money, on dismally performing, ad and or marketing campaigns, that do virtually very little, to either build their opt in email/mobile marketing lists, for long term future follow up purposes.

Nor (or rarely) do these type of misguided corporate behemoth ad campaigns, rarely result in the companies, adding measurable, brand new first time customers to the fold.

Yet in spite of these, (practically) undeniable facts, the vast majority of these corporate decision makers, continue along the same path!

Basically, throwing, (more like) wasting enormous amounts of money, and other extremely valuable resources, on these dismally performing, massive ad campaigns!

But, (what) pray tell, if there was (finally) a mega proven way, to take a fraction of the upfront cash and really make a  go of things!

Entrepreneur, you’d at least, want to know about it, would you not?

So How In The World Can You Actually Revive Some Previously Failed Marketing Campaigns?

(And Whined Up Turning A Profit!)

Of course on the surface, that claim probably seems, just a little bit outlandish and a little closer to being over the top, correct? Sure.Especially, without any particular explanation(s.) Fair enough.

So let’s say a major beverage distributor, that specializes in exotic drinks, such as (great tasting) gourmet coffees, cocoas, lemonades, green, ginger and regular teas etc.

And they routinely conduct, outrageously expensive, glitzy national ad campaigns, that truth told, do little more than (occasionally) win some of the major ad agencies they use, fancy awards at extremely high profile industry events.

But rarely actually pay for themselves, in terms of yielding boat loads of brand new first time customers!

And sadly, the first time customers they do land, (typically) come at a hefty price tag of (anywhere from) $200 to $375 dollars per lead or more!Ouch!

So needless to say, they are highly motivated, to not only dramatically cut their front end customer acquisition cost, but do so in some of the most non traditional ways to boot.

Isn’t It Amazing And Quite Profitable What A Little Creative Lead Generation Can Do For Your Bottom Line?

So this particular distributor (enthusiastically) embraces some underground, non traditional marketing strategies and tactics.

Because these non conventional marketing strategies and or tactics, not only yield a much higher return on investment, (ROI), but they typically do so, for a whole lot less than usual.

Case in point, recently one of my coaches, (the one and only) Donna Merrill of DonnaMerrillTribe.com, fame, shared this really awesome comment on one of my recent blog posts, about “how” some extremely marketing savvy small business owners, and or profit seeking entrepreneurs, systematically go about building an army of non commissioned sales reps!

Who enthusiastically help them spread the word, on and offline, about their high quality products and or services.

And her comment references how her step son, a highly accomplished marketer in his own right, helped one of his clients gross millions of dollars, in additional revenue, using a strategy, very similar to the one I wrote about in that particular blog post, and the slight variation of that same basic overall marketing strategy, you’re about to discover here.

So here’s the reprint of Donna’s awesome comment, then you’ll discover the variation of that particular strategy.

“Hi Mark,

I have seen this kind of marketing in action and it sure works so well. My step son is a pretty big marketer. He helps start-up companies make millions. This reminded me of how he started giving away an ice tea drink just like you mentioned here. He did his homework and found where to go to ask to set up his wares. Then had others go to all these places and just give out a bottle of expensive iced tea to all the customers.

Low and behold, the company got known very quickly. People spent a pretty penny purchasing that product. I think it is all a matter of making everyone profit.

This is one of the best marketing strategies used by many and always works!”

-Donna

Entrepreneur, is that mega proven marketing strategy, too awesome or what?

Ever Notice How Some Of The Most Successful Small Business Marketing Strategies Usually Involve Helping Another Profiting Seeking Entrepreneur Increase Their Profits As Well!

So imagine this; instead of this extremely marketing savvy, exotic beverage distributor, wasting a ton of money on those fancy,(not to) mention, incredibly expensive  radio, TV and or glitzy display ads etc.

But here’s one thing they quickly realize, (typically) whenever a brand new first time customer (samples), or buys any one of their extremely great tasting exotic beverages, a full 60% of, them usually start re- ordering, not only for themselves, but do so for co-workers, relatives and in laws etc. 😀

So in order to dramatically boost their brand new first time customer sales, practically overnight, here’s a proven variation of their main underground ninja marketing strategy, they will use, over and over again, in order to build a huge, enthusiastic customer base, while simultaneously helping other profit seeking vendors as well!

So during the hot summer months, here’s what the marketing savvy beverage distributor ultimately decides to do first.

They’ll approach a few (popular) local car washer owners, upscale car dealerships and upscale bakeries, to begin with.

And they’re especially looking for savvy small business owners, and or service providers, like car washer owners, that are active on the various social media platforms, like twitter, Facebook and or Pinterest etc.

And if they also happen to have an extremely active email /mobile marketing subscriber base, well that’s just icing on the proverbial cake!

Your Small Business Marketing Opportunities Are Limited By Your Train Of Thought!

Here’s why; the gourmet beverage distributor will consistently do three incredibly simple things, which they’re convinced, will ultimately expand their first time customer base, by leaps an bounds! And do so, for a fraction of the typical, upfront out of pocket cost!

And build some solid, long term strategic alliances, for years and years to come!

1.) First: They will advise all of the participating vendors to advertise, promote and market, that (at least) twice  a week, on different days, the first X amount of customers, that come to their businesses, will be given a free 16 oz. can of ice cold (exotic) ice tea, compliments of the marketing savvy beverage distributor!

2.) Second: Every employee, (that wants), they initially gets a free twelve pack of (either) the lemonade, ice tea or a free 10 lb bag of exotic, great tasting gourmet coffee!

And then, they can red-order and save either 30% for life, or they can purchase at the distributors actual hard cost, plus any and all applicable taxes, fees, shipping and handling cost etc.

As long as they spend X amount of dollars or more! (Please see the previous blog post referenced earlier, for more specifics!)

Effective Lead Generation Strategies Really Are Evergreen!

3.) Third: And finally, the third way they will inexpensively build their long term customer base, while simultaneously helping their strategic alliance partners grow their businesses as well.

Once a week, they will have all of their participating vendors, offer raffles, where their customers can purchase, 12 yearly shipments of the exotic beverage(s) of their choice, for just a one time raffle payment of just $40 dollars or X!

And then all the raffle winner pays is the monthly, taxes, shipping and handling fees! And of course, each months runner ups, get  extremely “time sensitive” offers, from both the vendors and the beverage distributors!

Ladies & gentlemen, is it starting to become crystal clear, “how” you and or your major competitors, can actually revive some previously dead marketing campaigns, without spending the proverbial fortune, in order to do so! 2. Hi Mark,

Now this is one heck of a post and as I read thought it I kept wondering just how aware offline businesses are of essential business elements like “list building” and “lead generation”

All too often I see websites of typical brick and mortar businesses that are so busy promotng their “stuff” they ignore the potential to build an email marketing list of visitors to their page.

And speaking of pages – if the website happens to be a blog then way too often thew last post was published months ago (and in some cases years ago) so the chances of utilizing your evergreen lead generation strategies are again a huge missed opportunity..

Mark you really hit the nail on the head when you said “Your Small Business Marketing Opportunities Are Limited By Your Train Of Thought!” – ain’t that the truth and nothing but the truth right there.

Awesome share Mark – you are one very intuitive marketer

products and or services, to our chosen target market(s.)

And I love your astute observation about offline brick & mortar
businesses, and or services, not taking the time to periodically
      update their blogs!

What an incredibly simple opportunity, to directly connect with
specific target market for virtually peanuts!Great points as usual!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by an share your thoughts!
