Sadly have you also noticed just “how” many aspiring entrepreneurs. Are reactive and not very proactive? Especially when it comes how to create opportunity for themselves.
Sure a handful of them try on or offline, traditional advertising campaigns. Where a staggering ninety five percent or more of those 1st time campaigns completely flop.
And if it’s their first attempt at doing any type of PPC (Pay Per Click) campaign. At least a certain percentage of them will not only consistently lose money. While or as they try to learn the ropes. But sadly a few of them are going to get their accounts temporarily or completely shut down.
In fact by the time you or your major competitors complete reading this blog post for the very first time. Somewhere in the online world an aspiring entrepreneur’s account is either being temporarily or permanently shut down.
So you either have to get your PPC ad campaigns right real quick. Or pay a qualified expert to do it for you. Or else…..
Wanna Know How To Create Momentum Even Though You’re Virtually Starting From Scratch?
Great question. Let’s say you’re an aspiring local magician. And since you’re just starting out. And your calendar is many things, except booked solid for the next number of months.
Rather than let your current lack of high paying corporate events discourage you. Instead invest your free time in strategically and systematically building your brand. Say what? Case in point. Start with your immediate circle of influence and build from there. How you so skeptically ask?
Whether you’re a guy or gal local magician. Have your spouse or live in significant other reach out to where they get their hair or nails done.
And ask if you can either:
1.) First choice: Perform (at your actual hard cost) for both the barber or women’s hair or nail salon owners kids. (As long as their kids are within your ideal target audiences age range.
2.) Second choice: Ask if it’s okay to place one of your best lead generating posters (or if need be your best lead generating business cards) in the barbershop, hair or nail salon. And in exchange for doing so. You’ll gladly grand father in the owner(s) shows at your actual cost.
And you’ll also gladly perform for any current and future stylist or vendors kids and they are grand fathered in to save 20 or X% off your current retail rates. (This way you know a certain percentage of them will constantly talk your services up. Both on and offline, correct?
So What Exactly Are You Gonna Do To Create Some Positive Word Of Mouth And Mouse?
For one thing. Unlike the vast majority of your local competitors. You’re not gonna try and do everything yourself. Which is “why” you’ll constantly be trying to form various types of potentially profitable strategic alliances (aka) JV (Joint Venture) arrangements with other local non directly competing vendors. Say what?
Because remember initially. The real reason you’re more than willing to offer strategic price discounts to your immediate circle of influence. Is because you ultimately want access to the long term back end of your sales funnel, right?
Because these local men and women have relatives, neighbors, possibly in – laws and or they belong to local associations, right? Entrepreneur ‘what” do you think will systematically start to happen. When you or one of your major competitors start performing. And other local parents or legal guardians with kids the appropriate age see you performing at relatives or neighbors house?
And you know at least some of the parents will be filming your performance. Or at least parts of it and they start posting both video and images all over social media.
Are You Okay With Other Influential People Constantly Tooting Your Horn?
So imagine “if” one of the attendees of a close neighbors party for their kids. And they bring their kid or kids whose friends of the birthday boy or girl. And they see you or one of your major competitors perform. And needless to say they’re incredibly impressed. Enough so they constantly start talking your performance up to whomever.
Meanwhile one of your most reliable back end income producing strategies is to pass out extremely time sensitive gift certificates to:
1.) A local bakery where you ‘ve literally been doing business with for years.
2.) A local, non franchised, retail appliance center.
3.) Some of your own extremely time sensitive gift certificates. (And you’ll gladly give grand fathered in discounts for performing more than once for a parent or legal guardian with multiple kids in a certain age range.)
And if you’re marketing by strategically using opt in email. (This particular strategy will be expanded in more detail coming up very shortly in part two, okay?
But for now. Are you starting to better appreciate “how” to create opportunity using various types of long partnerships in order to do so? Say yes.
