Strictly for hypothetical marketing illustration purposes. The bakery could  create a digital flyer. (Or approve one created by one of or several of their local JV (Joint Venture) or cross promotional partners.

The extremely time sensitive digital flyer could easily be sent to local opt in email subscribers of different, non directly competing vendors.

Inviting their customers, employees and vendors to:

A.) Make that all important first purchase and save X% off the current retail price.

B.) Drag a friend and provided they both join the bakeries email list. Before they leave the bakery that day. Both are ethically bribed with X% off for doing so.

C.) The bakery could help one or several of their VIP subscriber/customers or other non directly competing owners sell their primary home, investment property or business.

Simply be sending a series of email messages to their list.

Start To See Your Business Or Service As More Than Just A Front End Loaded Entity!

Your long term back end can and definitely should be developed. So much so if you want to. You or your major competitors could literally break even on the initial first time customer purchase.

But more than make up for the shortfall with all of the additional repeat purchases your customers or clients make. When or once you include both their referrals and bank account filling testimonials.

And it definitely might make sense for you or your major competitors to allow your customers to purchase ay least two pastries or muffins at your actual hard cost on your two or single slowest day(s) of the week or season.

1.) Instantly create a ton of positive viral word of mouth and mouse buzz.

2.) And instantly create some long term repeat customers. For literally pennies on the dollar.
