(Even When You’re Not Open!)
So it goes without saying. The main purpose of constantly advertising, promoting or marketing your business or services. Is to jump start growing your business or service.Agreed? Absolutely.
But when you actually put a pencil to your ongoing cost, for potentially advertising it. You have to realize just how outrageously expensive traditional advertising can be or quickly become. Correct? No doubt. Plus what happens once you stop or temporarily stop paying for your traditional ad campaigns?
That’s right. The platform simply stops running them. Until you or your major competitors, can afford to pay for them again. But what if you or your major competitors put yourself in the position.
Where any and all of your current and future marketing or promotional efforts. Worked extremely hard for you or some of your top JV (Joint Venture) or cross promotional partners, traditional offline business or service even when it was closed. Say what? Is that not interesting?
How Often Do You Think Your Major Competitors Strategically Grow Their Business Or Service? (When It’s Either Closed Or They’re Not Proactively Advertising It!)
Case in point. Let’s say you or your major competitors own and run an incredibly successful, single location, higher end women-s clothing and accessories store. And you’re closed on Sundays.
And even though you don’t currently have your very own state of the art WordPress website. (And truth told. You have no immediate plans of getting one anytime soon.)
What if your market tested promotions, still caused you to systematically generate more and more sales. Over time of course. Even on Sunday’s when -technically- your store or showroom is not even open.Huh?
Now, obviously your potential future customers won’t actually be coming to your physical store or showroom on that particular day. Try this rather basic, initial front end type of long term marketing strategy or tactic.
Let’s say after running your numbers. You realize your ideal female customer has a total lifetime customer value metric. Of anywhere from a low of $150- $8,500 dollars.
Give or take over the next five to seven year period. (You’ll probably want to laugh after you stop crying. Once you see and fully realize, just how brain dead simple, this proven marketing/promotional strategy is.)
Once You Stop Over Complicating Things! (You’ll Start To Consistently See All Of The Potential Untapped Marketing Or Promotional Opportunities!)
Both you and at least two of your top sales reps or senior store managers. As you’re out and about within your local community. You’re constantly on the lookout for local women. Who either:
1.) Occasionally work on Sundays. (Meaning they occasionally are exposed to other local women who also occasionally work on Sundays or major holidays.)
2.) Have their own offline business or service who also occasionally work on Sundays or major holidays.
3.) Work as waitresses on Sundays.
4.) Or maybe they occasionally work overtime hours at a local hospital, nursing home facility or they work in a supermarket on Sundays etc.
Whatever the case may be. Here’s what your top female sales reps or senior managers propose to them. They hand them your extremely time sensitive, market tested, two sided business or index card.
Side A invites the recipient to enter your monthly or quarterly free drawing. For a chance to win a $500 or X dollar pair of designer power pumps. Plus, a $300 dollar designer hand bag. In other words you’re going to ethically bribe your ideal prospect onto your opt in email or mobile marketing list.
If You’re Not Strategically Leveraging The Power Of Ethical Bribes! (You Or Your Major Competitors Are Leaving A Ton Of Money And Long Term marketing Goodwill On The Table!)
Case in point. On side B of your market tested index or business card. Before you or your senior manager or top sales reps hands these local women your market tested business/index card.
You hand write a date which is a maximum of the next ten calendar days out. (Not the next ten business days.) And if they come alone. They can save 10 or X% off a 32 oz. bottle of any fragrance of their choice. While supplies last.
However, simply for dragging a friend with them.Whose at least 18 and a current customer of yours. They can automatically purchase a 64 oz. bottle of the perfume of their choice. And provided they also enter your free drawing. (Translated: Join your opt in email or mobile marketing list.) They can purchase it at your actual hard cost of X.
A premium selling 64 oz. bottle of one of your best selling perfumes. Which normally retails for at least $375 -$450 dollars a bottle.Say what? But for an extremely limited time. (Provided they’ve met your conditions.( They only pay your hard cost of $125-$175 or X.)
And of course when they start frequently wearing the fragrance to work on Sundays and other major holidays.When you or your major competitors are typically closed.
You’re strategically growing your business or service, even when you’re typically closed. Agreed? Can you live with that? Say yes.
