How And Why Successfully Growing Your Business Is A Lot Like Consistently Watering A Plant!

So even though you definitely need a proven way to consistently generate revenue for your business or service, right? Entrepreneur has it yet to dawn on you in a major way. Exponentially growing your business or service is a lot like consistently watering your favorite plant? Say what?

Think about the similarities for just a second. What ultimately happens to any of your plants? Whether they be one of your favorites or not if you or someone in your home of office doesn’t consistently water it? You so got that right. And by the same token ladies and gentlemen.

If you and I don’t continually tend to (water) our businesses or services. What ultimately happens to them over time.

Whose Says Growing A Business Or Service Means Doing Everything In The Potentially Expensive Traditional Way?

Case in point. You see the screenshot image just below? It’s from a guest podcast appearance on “On The Ground Level” with the host Tahyira Savanna. The lady in the top left inset.) And you or me consistently doing guest podcast or guest blogging appearances, (among other proactive marketing or promotional activities) is the equivalent of consistently watering a plant.

In short it’s potentially bank account filling marketing leverage.

Let’s say I or you speak with each lady individually. Which definitely beats nothing, right? However, once you and I or your major competitors appear on either of or both of their respective podcasts. Entrepreneur get’s what?

Now you’ve strategically gone from one to one to one to many. Huh? Think about the previously untapped long term marketing possibilities. Their podcasts can and more than likely will be uploaded to their youtube chanel.  They can also posts either segments of it or the entire recording on their Instagram or Linkedin accounts.

And if they have their own opt in email subscribers. They can send them the link. And rest assured some of those subscribers, who may also have podcasts or blogs of their own or be radio hosts etc.

They can not only share all or segments on their social media accounts. And their opt in email subscribers too. Of course any or all of this doesn’t happen over night, right? But it’s just like consistently watering a plant. As the roots steadily take hold. Guess what? You or your major competitors start steadily growing exponentially.

And now you don’t have to consistently apply as much laser targeted marketing or promotional elbow grease.

Entrepreneur It’s Definitely Best To Start Off Right! (If You Plan On Strategically Building From The Ground Up!)

Take this simple, (albeit) hypothetical offline marketing example. Which is being shared strictly for marketing illustration purposes only. But first in order to help you further connect the marketing/promotional dots. Consider one of the many potential long term benefits of strategically going from one to one to one to many.

Think about a tenured professor at an Ivy league school. And let’s say they charge $400 dollars an hour to teach a one hour class in their spare time or off hours.

And 75 students attend their virtual lecture. The university sets everything up. So all the professor does is turn on their camera from home and start teaching (lecturing) for the next 60-90 minutes. Turn their camera off and go back to whatever it was they were doing on this lazy Saturday afternoon.

But their bank account just had $400 or X number of dollars added to it. Not a bad gig anytime you can get it, right? And let’s say the professor does this once a week over the course of 50 weeks out of the year.

And takes at least two weeks off per year in order to travel and be with friends and extremely close family members etc. But when you add up his or hers additional side income earnings for the year. (It’s pretty impressive for a part time side hustle. Which they didn’t have to learn any additional skills in order to do.)

And be paid extremely well for. $400 dollars per hour for 50 side lectures per year equals an additional $20,000 dollars gross on top of their current six or multi six figure a year base salary and with really cool benefits and perks etc.

But Entrepreneur How Does One To One Or A Fixed Cost Stack Up Against Good Ole Fashion Marketing Or Promotional Leverage?

So this professor or associate professor) can consistently earn anywhere from $100- $1,000 dollars an hour or more. To simply do what they studied hard to do. And be paid extremely well on the side. One hour a week out of their usual down time. But let’s also look at this from the bank account filling marketing or promotional perspective. Huh?

The university or private business or service is charging each individual attendee , (in this particular case) $400 dollars each to attend this hour long virtual event. Say what? And just for the sake of example. Let’s say each of the 50 or X number of virtual weekly workshops has a maximum of 75 attendee.

Who could either pay an additional $1,100 or X number of dollars for two more text books they really don’t want to read. Or receive the exact amount of credit for attending this one hour to 90 minute virtual class which costs $400 dollars to attend.

Understanding The Various Forms Of Marketing Leverage Can Potentially Equal Big Bucks!

So the university is grossing on the initial front end only. A total of $30,000 dollars per hour to 90 minute class. Say what? (75 x $400 dollars each equals $30,000 dollars. Minus the fee they pay the professor(s) and the cost to utilize the paid video conferencing software.

Times on average 50 or X number of weeks per year. So $30,000 dollars times 50 weeks equals an initial gross front end profit of $1,500,000 dollars. Huh? That’s correct. it’s an impressive $1.5 million dollars. Minus (in this particular case only), the $20,000 dollars give or take to the professors) involved.
