Being consistent  (If Your Mindset Isn’t Right The Rest Probably Won’t Be Either!)

Have you ever made a new years resolution. This year you’re definitely gonna be all about getting and staying in shape? Any hands raised as you’re reading? 😀 And about six – 8 weeks in. What tends to ultimately end up constantly happening ladies & gentlemen?

Your/our initial enthusiasm tends to start to fall by the waist side, correct? The fire and passion all but seem to gradually or rapidly fade away, correct?

And it’s definitely not that we don’t want to eat healthier. Or to get in and remain in good shape, right? But being consistent in practically undertaking. Initial starts with having or developing the right mindset, does it not?

Because as life and other things start to constantly get in the way. Unless or until you/we finally make up minds. And say no matter what happens.

We’re totally committed to achieving a certain defined outcome. More than likely, it’s just another well intentioned task. Which ultimately doesn’t get done and or accomplished, right?

So What Does This Say About Your Brand Equity?

Ladies & gentlemen “how” many of you reading this? Currently have your very own self hosted blog of some kind? If you already have your own profit seeking website. And you don’t currently have a blogging component/page added to it.

Then more than likely. Whomever build your website. Can very easily add a blog page/component to your website. Consistently publishing relevant content/blogging for your ideal target audience. (Believe it or not ladies & gentlemen.) Is still a proven strategy.

To help expand your brand. Help further establish your expertise and credibility. And further establish much deeper roots/relationships with your readers.

Who as they consistently start returning to consume your problem solving or informative content. They have a natural tendency to click onto other pages on your blog or website.

They’ll have a closer look at your “About or Resource” page. They may even start to occasionally or routinely like, share and comment on your content. (Please or kindly ignore those oh so subtle, subliminal suggestions. 😎

So How Are You Systematically Building Momentum?

Here’s the other thing with regards to my blog and my consistent blogging efforts. Believe it or not fellow profit seeking entrepreneurs. I don’t know about how long it takes you to write and schedule. Or write/edit and publish your blog posts. (If like me, you still write and publish your own written blog content.

I use royalty free images. And I have a self created template set up I use. I write the headings, (using additional three to four long tail keyword phrases.) For the two or three paragraphs below the fold.

Then I simply write the two or three additional paragraphs. And counting the typically shorter paragraph above the fold. I can usually write, (and edit as I go) a single 800- 1,200 word blog post. Sometimes even longer. (Then I either choose to embed one of my YouTube videos. Or a link to someone else’s relevant videos.)

Or I embed a link to one of my podcast episodes.  “The Marketing Minute” which can currently be found of Spotify.com BTW.

And usually within 75 minutes or less. I’m ready to schedule my blog post. To be published later. Obviously my longer posts take anywhere from 90-120 minutes to complete.

So What Do You Do More Times Than Not? (When You Really Just Don’t Feel Like Doing It!)

And even though my overall process for blog publishing isn’t that complicated, right? There are most definitely times when I simply don’t feel like writing. (‘m sure at least some of you reading this. Can relate to what I’m talking about, right? 😀 But as often I can.

I try and push myself to do it anyway. And since I also try to stay 3 weeks ahead. By trying to have at least 3 weeks worth of pre written blog posts in my que.

So if I need or wish to not write for seven to ten days. I don’t or won’t have any additional pressure on me. But what I’m really driving at here ladies & gentlemen is simply this.

No matter how simple or complicated my current blogging process is. Sometimes I, (just like you!) Sometimes I really don’t feel like doing it! 😀 Even though I love to write. 😀

Being consistent for me. Is developing and nurturing the right mindset. And finding more motivation to do. Than not to do. So regardless of what you may or may not think of my blog content. 😀

Being consistent initially starts with you and I developing and steadily nurturing the right mindset. If you are currently publishing content on your own, (hopefully self hosted) blog.

How often do you publish your content. Does it take an ongoing effort? Are there times when you simply just don’t feel like it? Me too. 😀 Keep finding ways to motivate yourself to publish! Your target audience definitely appreciates it.
