Where You Go Dreadfully Wrong When Marketing Products And Services!Part Three

As you previously discovered in parts one & two of this series, about how and where otherwise savvy entrepreneurs have gone dreadfully wrong, when they’re actively marketing products and services.

Everybody wants to find some proven inexpensive ways to consistently make more money, right?

Lots of times, it’s simply a matter of seeing all of the many untapped marketing possibilities, that are often right under your nose.

For example, you can learn an awful lot about successfully marketing a product, when you really take the time to peel back all of the mini and major profit centers, that can be found when you follow the money of the offline building industry.Huh? Entrepreneur, take a look at this!…

Successfully Marketing Products And Services Has Layers And Layers Of Mini And Major Profit Centers!

Just Like The Offline Building Industry Does!)

Ladies & Gentlemen, take a look at the enormous profit boom (both) temporarily and long term when a major hotel or conference or convention center is built. First, there are literally thousands of really good paying construction jobs that gets created, right? And these construction jobs include specialty industries such as licensed electricians and licensed plumbers etc!

Expensive tile has to be (both) bought and laid, does it not? Tons of gravel and hardware supplies needs to be purchased too, right? Temporary portable bath rooms (port a potties) need to be leased or purchased do they not?

Nails, and measuring tape and hammers and hard hats, shoes and paint needs to be purchased right? Architects need to be hired to draw up plans, correct? Sheet rock and computers need to be purchased and installed, correct? Business phone lines need to get installed! Kitchens and bath rooms have to be built, correct?

Do you see all this economic activity taking place? Right within the immediate local economy. Hold on, because there most certainly is an extremely relevant small business marketing point to be made here! But before that can take place, the proper pre-economic foundation needs to be laid first.

You’re just getting started, next think about all of the local -entrepreneurial- food vendors that actually come onto the site M-F, to offer food from their trucks, that are also more affectionately referred to as “roach coaches!”

Those roach coach vendors (in turn) buy from other local small business/service provider suppliers do they not? All the construction workers, from the general contractor to the many sub contractors, travel to and from the construction site by car, van or some type of gas propelled vehicle, do they not? Which means, at least one or twice per week, they stop and buy gas do they not?

And they stop at either a local McDonald’s, Dunkin Donuts or local Mom & Pop corner store to buy that all important  first morning cup of coffee, bagel or two dozen donuts right?

Do you see ‘how” building this major convention center and or major hotel, creates an incredible ripple effect throughout the immediate local economy? Say yes!

Wanna Dramatically Improve Your Local Economy? Start Building Major And Minor Projects!

Massive annual property taxes are generated to both the local  county and state coffers! All these construction workers, either rent or lease condos, apartments, town houses or they make  mortgage payments, do they not?

Which means, they also do periodic grocery shopping, right? All these economic activities take money entrepreneur! Money they earn each or every other week from working on building just one major convention center or major hotel construction project. That may last anywhere from three to five years or more!

And their paychecks, in turn help support other local business owners and service providers of every size! This is just a tip of the proverbial economic iceberg! But hopefully you can begin to see “how”  (if you didn’t already know) vitally important the building industry is to any local economy!

Major Insurance policies need to be written, and periodically paid for and serviced! And if the  construction projects jobs pay well enough, guess what? People go out and buy newer (read that as) bigger, newer homes! This is how and where the real long term profits come from!

The Longer And The Deeper Hammers Swing The More Houses And Flat Screen TV’s Get Purchased!

They buy big bigger, fancier toys, like newer cars and boats! They vacation more often! Buy bigger and newer flat screen TV’s, they eat out more often, do they not? They buy or lease that second car! They upgrade cable services and cell phone plans etc! They buy their kids that X, (you in the blank!)

They buy more birthday and anniversary presents etc. The point is, more money changes hands! They open more credit card accounts! (Okay, maybe that one isn’t such a good idea! But still, they’re spending money and creating more and more good paying full and part time jobs!)

And let’s not forget the really big ongoing benefit in all of this local building activity! After the project is done. Literally thousands of new full and part time permanent jobs are created! To help further sustain the local economy!

Because these new employees, vary from administrators, to receptionists, to housekeepers, maintenance staff, bookkeepers, human resource personnel etc. Guess what? They all spend money everyday too!

But all these jobs originally came about because something major got built! Now, in part four, you’ll discover “what” pray tell if anything, all of the above has to do with successfully marketing products and services! See you there! Til then!

  1. Hi Mark!

Love your video and wonderful message you have given. Why? Because this is the way I love to do business.

Being an Entrepreneur for 30 years, I always found that solving a problem for a customer/client of mine has brought me more business and lasting customers for years!

A current example is this: I have a client which has been going crazy with her mortgage company. Without giving the details, I referred her to another client of mine who is in the mortgage business.

Now she couldn’t solve this problem for her, but called her friend which was a lawyer. Now he is a busy guy, but she reminded him that when they met they talked about paying it forward.

Long story short, this lawyer got in touch with my client, is now representing her for free. My client was so grateful that she gave these to people gift certificates for a consultation with me.

We all felt great and think highly of one another. Now, I refer people to this lawyer who I had never met. He refers people to me. And on and on it goes.

Just doing one good deed for your customer/client, will fan out to many other people.

I loved this message and also your voice is awesome my friend. Keep on teaching..you are great at marketing.

    • Wow! That is a totally awesome story coach! Thank you so much for not only sharing it, but for sharing my post on Google Plus as well!

I saw where you did that for me and my head instantly swelled!LOL!

I just love sharing the economic ideas in that particular post, because just like the story you shared, that’s what’s it’s truly all about!

To me, (sadly) the real recession and or depression lies mainly between our left and right ears!LOL!

And who or what you surround yourself with and whatever you choose immerse yourself with mentally,
will ultimately decide “how” you view the glass of opportunity! Half empty or half full!

I’ve chosen to surround myself with the Donna & David Merrill’s and Adrienne Smith’s of this world! So I never have to worry about how full my glass is!
Thanks so much (as always) for dropping by and sharing your much appreciated feedback and support coach! Both are much needed and greatly appreciated!

and thanks again for sharing my content! Because i absolutely love the powerful entrepreneurial (economic message) it’s conveying!
