(Using A Simple Mega Proven Five Step Marketing System!)
Are you finally ready to discover the so called inside scoop (the low down) if you will, on how to generate leads that actually convert? Because make no mistake about it, while you can most certainly increase the actual number of leads, to a ridiculously large amount! (if that makes you feel better.)
But entrepreneur, make no mistake, the real question is (and always will be), how many of them actually convert? And by convert, we’re simply referring to the number of prospects and customers or clients, that actually take the action, you want them to take!
And typically it will be a smaller percentage of your overall total of people that receive your marketing material. No matter which particular form it happens to take.
Because you can just randomly offer your extremely valuable freebies to the masses and a ton of them may take you up on it, but in the end, more times than not, when you use outrageously expensive mass marketing, to reach the masses.
The vast majority of them, have little or no real interest in your particular product or service. Which brings us to the real point of this post. The following marketed tested, five step process, will actually help you generate leads, that actually convert more often than not!
How To Generate Leads That Actually Convert!
This battlefield tested five step process, while incredibly simple, is crucial to your long term on or offline success! Because if nothing else, it will systematically help you eliminate wasting your time, money & energy on glorified tire kickers and time wasters!
1.) Proven marketing step # one: Ladies & gentlemen, please make sure before attempt to spend a dime trying to generate business, that you’ve got a clearly defined market! Sounds brain dead logical!
But you’d simply be shocked and amazed how many otherwise extremely savvy entrepreneurs, adhere to the slightly premature marketing sequence that the late great “Jay Conrad Levinson” of “Guerrilla marketing” fame, used to refer to as “ready, fire aim!”
Know who and clearly define your intended target market is first! Then start trying to construct and convey the appropriate marketing message!
2.) Proven marketing step # two: Next, you’d better make darn sure that your intended market has already indicated a strong desire for the potential solutions that your particular products or services provide!
And that they have both the financial means (the money!) and a strong desire to invest their hard earned dollars on your suggested solutions! Otherwise, this is an exercise in futility and frustration, waiting to happen! (And it will.)
3.) Proven marketing step # three: Sadly, far too often, this next extremely critical step (either) gets overlooked or skipped altogether, far too many times! And as a direct result, your lead generation efforts have a tendency, to fall far below the intended expectations!
Ladies & gentlemen, you basically need at least three type of offers, to adequately serve your three types of clientele. You need an offer for your initial prospects to become leads! (That’s more affectionately referred to as lead generation. Next you need an effective offer that converts prospects into that all important first time customer or client.
And lastly, you also need an offer that converts first time customers or clients into long term money making repeat customers and clients.
4.) Proven marketing step # four: And of course all of your marketing messages and sales offers needs one of your best market tested, CTA’s! That’s short for “Call To Action!
Every marketing message and or sales letter should be directing your readers to make or take at least one specific action! Such as join your opt in or mobile marketing list. Click your link or pick up the phone and call a specific number or and ask for a specific person etc! Or take a certain action by a certain date etc.
5.) Proven marketing step # five: And last, but certainly not least, you need a proven offer, delivered via some proven medium that your target market is constantly active on or involved with!
You adhere to these five incredibly simple (yet mega proven) marketing strategies and you’ll stop wondering, how to generate leads that actually convert! Any questions?

Excellent advice here, Mark.
The lifeblood of your business is to continually generate leads, but unless you convert them into paying customers at some point… your lead generation system is broken somewhere.
You’ve shown us 5 places to look for breaks in the system that is intended to take people from casual onlookers to long term customers and clients.
I especially liked the “ready, fire, aim” quote. I’d never heard it, but it really describes perfectly how most novice marketers (in my experience, anyway) actually go about doing business.
Great post, Mark. Lots of spot on info for online entrepreneurs!

Thanks Coach!
And you definitely know what it takes to consistently convert targeted leads into buyers!
And I agree with the fabulous quote by the late great Jay Conrad Levison of “guerrilla marketing ” fame.
And like you point out, unless you’re consistently converting a percentage of your leads into paying customers,
you’ve definitely got glitch in lead generation system.
That’s a very simplistic, yet really strategic way of looking at your lead generation methods and systems etc.
Thanks for for stopping by and sharing your insights and for your continuous support! I truly appreciate it!
Mark — thanks for the tutorial. I think most of us understand we need to take these steps but too often jump to the conversion stage without all the hard work that goes into identifying your customers and their needs. First things first!

That’s so true Jeannette!
I guess it’s just so much easier and far more interesting to wanna cut directly
to the sale!
But as you point out, unless we’ve done our preliminary work thoroughly we’ve kinda
got the cart before the horse!
And practically everybody knows how that turns out, more times than not!
Thanks so much for stopping by
and sharing your insights and for your positive feedback.
I definitely appreciate it!
Hi Mark,
Awesome post. I have to admit that when I first started out, I did not do my research as I should have. I got lucky a few times but now realize how important it is to know who you want to reach and how. I don’t think I can really add anything more to what you have written.
Have a great day. Monna

One of the most important steps to me is And lastly, you also need an offer that converts first time customers or clients into long term money making repeat customers and clients. The most important thing is to retain those customers and it should be done by service, service and more service. The leads will come by repeat business and word of mouth. I have been on the internet since the early nineties and have a high percentage of repeat business.

You nailed it!
And while we may or may not be able to go head to head financially
with those deep pocketed corporations!
We can certainly give um a run for their money with it comes to good old fashioned, take no prisoners customer service!
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts! I truly appreciate it!
Such excellent tips, Mark. They’re all often overlooked, but I find this to be the most neglected: “make darn sure that your intended market has already indicated a strong desire for the potential solutions that your particular products or services provide.” We often put solutions out there that WE think our market wants rather than things that they actually do want.

Great insights Leanne!
And I totally agree! Too often we take our eyes off the ball and
convince ourselves, that what we want or think our target market should have is actually what they want!
And or is truly interested in!
Great insights! Thanks for your continuous support and for your extremely positive feedback!
I totally appreciate it!
