Five Simple Reasons Why You And I Shouldn’t Ignore Video Marketing!

You do know and understand that there is an awful lot of potential online consumers that are extremely partial to video marketing, right? In other words, ever since the literal explosion of so called web 2.0 platforms, the Internet in genera and Internet marketing specifically, was and has been forever changed from now on.

Case and point, originally (way back) in the day, when both businesses and consumers came online looking for information, all they predominantly found was written text.Remember?

Then suddenly, audio and video and appeared  and the landscape was forever changed. In fact, there is an entire generation of potential online consumers that now (not only) do they no longer read offline newspapers, but they also get 75-95% of their news online!

And if going forward, you don’t think that’s a huge shift in consumer behavior, I beg to differ!

What this is really leading up to is the undeniable fact that strategic video marketing is without a doubt, partially responsible for all future positive consumer behavior and bias. And all forms of successful marketing, will in some way form or fashion, involve video!

Face it, it’s one of the mediums of choice, of the current and future online consumers! And not to embrace that fact or worse yet, to be in total denial of the fact, will  most certainly cost you lots of money! Both now and well into the for see able future.

Which brings us to these first five key critical points….

 Introducing Five Key Reasons Why You And I Simply Can’t Afford To Ignore Or Neglect Video Marketing Any Longer!

First of all, do you know there are countless of the top seven and eight figure a year earners that readily admit that just by simply testing various videos on both the

homepages of their WordPress blog and or sales letter. They were able to dramatically increase their various conversion rates!

Because truth told, there are an awful lot of today’s consumers that much prefer to watch a 3-10 minute video sales letter, as opposed to reading a 800 to 2,000 word (on or offline) sales letter!

No matter how much  money some highly touted high end copy writing expert was paid to create it! Here then are five plus solid reasons and or rationals, (if you will) why you and I imply cannot afford to ignore the huge long term profit potential of video marketing.

 1.) Reason # one: The vast majority of today’s savviest online consumers, (let’s face it already!), they grew up watching really high definition DVD’s, did they not? Which means for them, video is simply a must!

2.) Reason # two: They also grew up during the most rapid technological advancement in television, since that particular mediums existence!

3.) Reason # three: They’ve grown during an era when movie going has never been more technologically sophisticated either! This is not their parents, nor their grand parents movie era!

Always Keep In Mine That A Portion Of Your Audience Grew Up During The Greatest  Technological Revolution In History!

4.) Reason # four: Think about your average smart phone consumer. Would the even bother if they didn’t have access to HD  (high definition) video capabilities? Probably not! Video is simply a major game changer!

5.) Reason # five: There are some that also grew up in age of video game mania! In fact, for many of them, those early video games was their first introduction to the high tech world to which they have become so accustomed to!

And anything less, is definitely considered old school and simply not acceptable! They much prefer to watch an entertaining video message of some kind as opposed to simply reading the exact same thing!

And of course, let’s not forget that since consumer purchases (by and large) are often driven by emotion, not just logic! Strategic video marketing is the perfect way to tap into their current emotion based mindset! Don’t you agree?

Keep Being Extremely Pro-active And Your Long Term Gross Profits Will Continue Going North!

And let us not forget that whenever you can get social proof by way of a video testimonial. This speaks volumes to your target market! Because video is just light years more convincing and engaging, than mere text alone! Who can argue that? With that said:

  1. This is a tough subject for me not to come off as a grump because to be completely honest Mark a consumer I’m not a fan of video. When I go through Feedly in the morning if I stop by a blog and the post is a video 9 times out of 10 I’ll pass on it – same thing for podcasts.

    I’m a reader and that’s how I prefer to consume content. Others prefer audio, and as you’ve pointed out visual content is very popular.

    I certainly agree with your point about the value of video because it shouldn’t be a matter of either or; at the same time I think as content marketers one of our greatest challenges is to find the right mix for our particular audience and niche. Another thought provoking article Mark!

      I can hardly imagine!LOL! But hey, I definitely hear and can totally appreciate where
      you’re coming from!

      But there is simply no denying videos overall appeal!

      But I definitely side with you, when it comes to delivering content! I’m not sure, unless it’s a live
      lecture and or interview type of format, that video can consistently really deliver the type
      of format that we’re accustomed to!

      But there’s definitely room for it in our marketing mix. And like you pointed out, it’s really
      a matter of audience preference.

    It’s been a while. Video Marketing huh? Now that’s a subject I myself don’t like to talk about LOL… I’ve only made a couple of videos myself and added one to my site as you have seen yourself.

    For me, as a blogger, I’m not really too big on it. I know I know, I’m one in a very few. I usually read blogs at work when I have time and don’t want to put up a video here. But when I get home it’s a different story.

    But I’m not going to deny that video marketing can increase your conversions. Especially when it comes to branding yourself. I need to push myself to putting more videos out. I want to start with social media and go from there. I can be more transparent and show a little about what I do in my daily life so people can get more familiar with me. Then they can decide whether they want to connect with me or not!

    But this is a good reminder of to push myself to do video! Thanks for the share and I hope you’re having a great week!
