As you previously discovered in part one of this ongoing series about effectively using proven small business marketing strategies.
Hopefully, you’ve come to discover that there is an awful lot of untapped marketing potential that’s readily available to any and all serious entrepreneur(s) that decide to utilize any type self published (preferably) a digital online newsletter format of some kind.
Now just in case consistently self publishing (either) an on or offline newsletter, just doesn’t happen to float your boat. All is not lost. Not by a long shot. In fact, one of my regular commenters all but echoed those exact same sentiments.
And since I addressed some of their main concerns in my reply to their comment, along with the fact that I was already planning on writing at least two parts to this particular subject anyway, I thought I’d incorporate some of their concerns here in part two.
So just in case you’re wondering how you might go about strategically leveraging a self published newsletter marketing strategy, especially if you have no plans and or desire to publish one yourself!
Entrepreneur, this post is written specifically for you!….
So What Are The Five Main Reasons Why Some Type Of Newsletter Should Definitely Be A Part Of Your Long Term Small Business Marketing Plan?
But before we go there: let me address something that’s probably rolling around in the back of your mind. You really may not have the time, the passion and or the energy to consistently self publish any type of newsletter!
After all, you may be thinking, who’s got time to blog a couple of times per week, let alone try and find the time, energy and consistently create (really good) content in order to publish a newsletter.
Fair enough and your point is very well taken. However, guess what? There just happens to be men and women (fellow profit seeking entrepreneurs) both in and outside of your particular niche.
And believe it or not, they’ve got the time, energy, passion and desire to consistently self publish some type of newsletter and or periodic ezine etc.
And that’s the other point that definitely needs to be emphasized here. Their publication may be an ezine they periodically publish or it could be a traditional (on or offline) newsletter of some kind.
Either way, they need paid subscribers if they sell it for money. Or they may just use it as a direct marketing tool to first build free subscribers and then market other products and services on the back end (of their sales funnel), by promoting services such as one on one and or (discounted) group rate consulting etc.
Or if they offer paid advertising like (tons ) of ezine publishers do; then here’s where you and I can potentially help those publishers out.
What if (as is the case for me), the ezine publisher were to offer my 49 page special report (it’s a PDF file BTW) , that normally retails for $29.95, but any advertiser that purchases at least two solo ads (at X) amount of dollars, and they pre pay for them upfront, they get my 49 page special report as a powerful free incentive bonus!
(Hey,) it’s just an idea to help stimulate your creative marketing juices! Here’s the other thing, what if the publisher needs some extra free bonuses in order to get their subscribers to pay for a two year (minimum) of twenty four issues, special subscription.
And they need some extra free bonuses in order to dramatically increase their offers overall perceived value! Once again, you and I are standing in the waiting to help them!
Self Publishers Can Really Use Your Help!
Or what about this extremely viable marketing alternative. What if the publisher offers a special 13-15 issue one year subscription that normally retails for $97 dollars or X.
But they’ll throw in $77 dollars worth of free digital information bonuses valued at X! And even if the subscriber cancels their subscription (guess what?) They still get to keep all of the really cool bonuses, as the publisher’s free gift!
And that’s the publishers way of saying, thanks for subscribing! That particular technique is often referred to as “risk reversal” BTW.
But once again, the publisher increases their paid subscription base and or gets more paid advertisers to spend more money etc.
And you and I get placed in front even more potential customers and or clients, for literally pennies on the dollar! Seriously, how can you even think about spending a potential fortune on other forms of traditional paid advertising, when this type of untapped marketing potential is literally waiting to for you to tap into!
Granted, when you enter into these type of marketing joint venture (JV) arrangements, you’re sort of at the mercy of the publisher.
Because the bottom line is, it’s their newsletter and or ezine etc. So they have the ultimate final say. But hey, as long as they’ve already proven themselves to be trustworthy, you’ve got more to potentially gain, than not!
So that’s why hopefully, you’ll seriously consider adding the marketing potential of some type of newsletter, (whether) you personally publish it or not to your long term small business marketing plan.
Because the possibilities are enormous. Don’t you agree?
