So entrepreneur do you, your spouse, significant other and or kids have (or ever) had a favorite pet? If you did or do, then you already know the totally indescribable feelings you get and have towards it,right?
And to you, while it may seem a bit odd or even over the top to friends and family members etc; your VIP treatment of them! It’s not strange at all to you, correct? (By the way, what was or is his or her name?)

First let’s set the scene properly: Ever been so busy ripping and running, that will you finally get home. Guess what? Guess who you forgot to feed? But they were still there waiting patiently (without a major attitude mind you!) to be fed?

1.) Lesson # one: Entrepreneur, please be brutally honest here! Do you routinely take your pet or pets to the vet because of a sense of guilt or because you love them to death!

2.) Lesson #two: Ever rush home completely exhausted, only to realize you haven’t fed your best friend since this morning? (spouses, kids and significant others excluded!) Upon discovering your totally selfish act! Did your( BFF) best friend-forever- totally dismiss you & swear never to interact with you again!
Hey, just because your trusted banker or new potential seven figure customer/ client (temporarily said no!) Entrepreneur that’s no reason to pout and swear to never ever call on them again! That’s just part of “what”you signed up for when you go into business for yourself!
3.) Lesson # three: Remember that really bad day you had when your Power Point presentation bombed! Your best prospect unexpectedly cancelled their appointment on you again!
Your kids are showing you the partial cold shoulder at home,because this is the second recital you’ve missed in a row! After you swore last time, would be the last time! Underneath it all! Who came over to you after you finally climbed out of the shower and collapsed into your favorite chair!
Who came and cuddled up near your feet and still gave you a few forgiveness licks and rested their head gently on your toes, and never ever mentioned the fact, that you hadn’t taken them for their daily walk in (well? ) let’s see now! At least the past two days!
That’s right! Which means entrepreneur, in -both- life and business, you’d better have some strategic alliance partners and or die hard customers or clients, that you know will stick with you through the highs and inevitable lows! Or else you’re in for a really rough time!
4.) Lesson # four: Remember the time you can home (more like) crawled home after another extremely tough day in the trenches, and your best friend just wanted (more like) demanded a little play time and they kept getting their favorite ball, and their eyes and posture indicated they just needed you to be their (BFF) and throw their stupid ball across the room, just a few times before you called it a night!
And given this extremely golden opportunity to serve them! “What” did you decide to do instead? Entrepreneur, sometimes in -both- life and in business, you need to stop and take the time to return (either) that text message, email and or phone call from that seemingly not so currently profitable customer and or newbie client!
Because you never ever truly know “who’s ear they’ll be bending over lunch! Either now or it the not so distant future!
5.) Lesson # five: Ladies & gentlemen face it already! Your BFF (Best Friend Forever!) in spite of all you’ve done and have not done! Is in it for the long haul! That’s “why” they’re always so happy to see you!
No matter “who’s birthday you forgot! Or “who’s” recital you missed or whether or not you haven’t had time to throw they favorite ball lately or not taken them for a walk in the past two days!
