You do know, appreciate and understand, “how” the strategic use of opt in email marketing , can and definitely will, systematically, and or dramatically lower, some of your traditional, upfront out of pocket cost, correct?
So there’s no reason to (continually) pound the drum, about that potential benefit, correct?
Because, given the choice, between sending your opt in email, (and or) mobile marketing list of 400 local subscribers, your not exactly, professionally copy written offer!
And or, first paying your local printer, for setup and typesetting, then the current postage charges. And finally, mailing your (direct) snail mail, post card offer to your subscribers, and waiting patiently anywhere from 3 to 10 days, for a possible response!
(That may or not even come!) Or, you (or someone else) within your organization, with very little bankable copy writing skills, could construct an equally dismal email/mobile marketing message, hit send, have your email offer bomb!
But, still pay the same monthly price of X, without the additional charges, associated with direct snail mail!
And bare in mind, each time you send direct snail mail, those exact same setup, type setting and current postage charges will apply Entrepreneur, which choice do you honestly prefer?
So What Are These Five Potentially Destructive Ways Newbie Marketers Constantly Sabotage Their Email Marketing Campaigns?
(Without Really Meaning To!)
Entrepreneur, is it safe to presume, (to this point), you haven’t exactly mastered, “hired gun” copy writing skills, just yet?
So neither your email/mobile marketing messages, and or your direct snail mail post card/sales letters, are setting any noteworthy sales records just yet.Right?
That being the case, you’re probably ten times less likely, to purposely sabotage your email/mobile marketing campaigns, by constantly repeating, these five, all too common mistakes! Let’s take a look.
1.) Common way to sabotage your email marketing campaign mistake # one: (Sadly, this very first all too common email marketing mistake, is based on my very own personal experience.)
So I watched this fairly convincing video sales letter, and after watching it, (even though) I decided not make a purchase at that particular time, I still joined the marketers opt in email list.
Turns out, doing so was a tragic and (oh so) regrettable mistake! Because over the next three weeks! Give or take.
Practically every single day, until the day I unsubscribed! All the marketer did was constantly bombard my inbox with endless, flimsy as all get out sales pitches! Not a one of his follow up email messages, offered any value whatsoever! Nada! Zilch!
So obviously, his all too common email marketing mistake was, failing to offer any value whatsoever, in any of his subsequent follow up email messages! And instead, he just kept hammering his subscribers with valueless proposition after valueless proposition!

2.) Common way to sabotage your email marketing campaign mistake # two: Entrepreneur, don’t you just hate it, when someone is screaming at you, instead of calmly talking with you! Online, stay away from using all capital letters in your email subject lines! It’s a big turn off!
3.) Common way to sabotage your email marketing campaign mistake # three: Next, entrepreneur, “do not” practice, the age old “bait and switch”, email marketing tactics, with any of your extremely loyal subscribers.
Meaning: don’t offer them one particular freebie (list building) information, in order to initially build your list, only to (immediate) begin promoting/marketing, some totally non relevant follow up information!
Because consistently do so, will blow a major hole in your, (all important) credibility!

4.) Common way to sabotage your email marketing campaign mistake # four: So you’re doing some strategic power networking offline, by attending various local events.
You’re meeting and being personally introduced to lots of local power brokers, with size able influence! Great! Way to go! You’re also collecting a ton of business cards!
Entrepreneur, where you’ve started to veer off course big time, is when you start manually adding these individuals to your email follow up sequences, without their permission! And sending them your follow up email sequences. My friend, this is spam!
5.) Common way to sabotage your email marketing campaign mistake # five: This last one, when consistently violated, will blow bigger holes in your long term credibility then even an AK 47 will!
So mind your manners! Don’t go to all the trouble, of aggressively list building, getting your visitors to eagerly join your (various) opt in email/mobile marketing list, only to not bother emailing, for months at a time!
They’ll soon forget they ever subscribed! And (worst case scenario), they may even classify your infrequent messages as spam!Ouch! Or worse yet, just start ignoring and stop opening your email follow up messages altogether!Which hurts your overall “open rates.”
And drastically damages your brand!Ladies & gentlemen, these are five, all too common ways, tons of newbie marketers, fall prey to to some really destructive email marketing campaigns! Any questions?

Oh yeah, I’ve been on the receiving end of each of these. The one that surprised me the most was a well-known blogger, author, coach. It was disappointing enough that the “newsletter” I subscribed turned out to be nothing more than links to already published posts, every single email this person sent me was a pitch for products and services. Obviously, I unsubscribed pretty quickly and that forever changed my opinion of this person. This is a great list of strategies to avoid and hopefully people – especially newbies – will take your advice seriously. Thanks Mark!

I credit him with really driving home the point of, exactly what not to do!LOL!
