When it comes to clothing retailers sitting on unsold clothes (inventory), it probably never entered your mind, these savvy small business owners, are basically, sitting on money they can’t actually get their hands on just yet, right?

And by the same token, what about used, and or slightly damaged, clothing merchandise?

 How are they suppose to salvage it, and create any type of bankable profits from it, agreed?

Well, rest assured, just like your local car dealer, mini or major real estate developer, who has unsold inventory of any kind.

As long as those clothes, be they designer label or not, sits on the retailers shelf, or in their back room collecting dust, and they’re not in a customers closet, or literally on their back, the retailers cash flow is suspect,and or is not as good as it could and or should be.Agreed?

First of all, the semi good news is, (provided of course), you have a creative marketing mindset. It’s not if, the clothing retailer will occasionally have used and or damaged clothing and or used or damaged accessories of some kind. It’s more like when, and how much.

And since, (by law), they can no longer sell (any repossessed and or slightly damaged clothing and or accessories) at their typical retail prices.

By in large, 99% of the retailers, as soon as they encounter this all too common occurrence, they simply discount ‘fire’ sale their prices, eat or absorb their occasional losses, regroup and move on, asap. Sound familiar?

On the other hand, there are, at least two, battlefield tested strategies, they should put in place immediately, to not only help soften the coming financial blows, but put them in the position, to profit over time.

Extremely Savvy Entrepreneurs Make It Their Business To Benefit From So Called Negative Situations!

Here’s the very first proactive marketing strategy and tactic, these clothing retailers should definitely put, and or have in place, once they get returned and or slightly damaged merchandise of any kind.

However, before diving head long into these proven marketing strategies and or tactics etc. Let’s be crystal clear, in our definition of slightly used and or damaged merchandise.

Basically, this type of merchandise, is basically still new, albeit used, but it’s been out of your store, until the tale end of your return policy limit.

So in other words, if your, “No questions asked” return policy is 30 days from the original purchase, with the receipt. This consumer, brought it back, with the receipt 29 days later.

So while it’s technically not damaged per se, it’s been out of your store long enough, to where it’s best, from a marketing perspective, to just refer to it as used.

Believe It Or Not There Really Are Some Incredibly Simple Ways To Promote Your Business! (Which Don’t Necessarily Involve Spending Tons Of Money Upfront!)

Case in point, let’s suppose you sold, (both) a $950 dollar designer bag, and a $1,900 dollar evening gown, and about a week later, both got returned. Rather than merely offer both items, out outrageously low, bargain basement sale prices, just to get them out of your store.

Instead, why not, already have, a special, VIP opt in email list, of professional ladies, who you can simply, send an unscheduled,’broadcast’, email alert message to.

Or perhaps even better. Maybe have a few local, up and coming female real estate agents, and or brokers personal cell phone numbers.

And send them a picture, of both the gown and your designer hand bag.And which ever one decides they want it, sell each item, at your actual cost. Because these ladies routinely make the rounds publicly, do they not?

Guerrilla Marketing Style Strategies For Small Business Owners Is Simply A Must!

And you can be sure, as they show their listings, meet with local bank loan officers, attend some extremely high profile fund raisers, socialize with co-workers, neighbors, in laws, sisters, Moms, daughters and daughter in laws etc.

They will constantly be drilled, about where, and how much they paid, for the extremely beautiful blank! Don’t you agree?

And with regards to your very best, long term repeat customers, inexpensively test, the ones who constantly, generate, positive word of mouth and mouse buzz, for your business, 24/7.

Why not allow them, once a month, via a private, closed to the general public, food and beverage event, enter a raffle, for three to five, of the most expensive, returned and or used items, which were returned the previous month.

And every person, who brings a guest, 18 and over, whose a potential first time customer. Every raffle they enter during the event, their name automatically goes into the raffle, one additional time!
