Even Though This Powerful Marketing Strategy Is Right Under Their Nose How Come It Gets Ignored?

Entrepreneur, how do you honestly feel about your current (so called) outbound marketing plan?

You know, maybe you’ve actually tried, (and or) you’re seriously considering using some PPC (Pay Per Click) ad campaign. Or maybe you think various size banner  and or “solo ads” is the way to go etc.

That type of conventional marketing strategy, may or may not work for you.

However, one thing is certain, whenever you rely on that type of conventional marketing approach.You’re definitely going to have to write checks and part with your hard earned money, each time you use it!

Irregardless of the eventual outcome. In fact, one of the absolute strangest things, I constantly see, extremely cash strapped small business owners and or service providers, with regards to where they will enthusiastically invest their hard earned dollars!

They will practically bankrupt themselves, trying to use outrageously expensive mediums, like local  TV and or radio, to do glitzy fortune 500 type of mass image advertising,instead of the much better suited, laser focused marketing! Because without a doubt, laser focused target marketing is where it’s at!

Let’s take a really closer look under the hood, so you can see what I’m referring to!

So What Is This So Called Incredibly Powerful Marketing Strategy That’s Right Under The Average Entrepreneurs Nose That They For Whatever Reasons Constantly Keep Overlooking It?

First of all, ladies & gentlemen,there is no real mystery here. It’s just a matter of you and I paying really close attention to, what’s truly working and what isn’t!Case in point: Recently while watching an NFL game and seeing the team I mockingly told a buddy, would beat his team!

And of course, just like my attempts at individual stock picking, I of course was so wrong! 😀 Anyway, during a commercial break, as I happen to look up from the computer screen, as I was busily multi tasking, (putting) the final touches on a future blog post.

I see this really brief TV ad, for a local business, that sells various women’s shoes. The ad couldn’t have even been a 30 second spot! That’s “how” lightening fast it went by!

Anyway, I looked up, just in time to catch a fleeting glimpse, of two rather attractive young women,smiling as they each held up some boots, and at the lower end of the TV screen, was their local address and website address.(But they only flashed them for a few seconds!)

Ladies & gentlemen (unfortunately), most of you have heard or read this totally misleading statement, that it takes anywhere from 7- 12 exposures, for a potential prospect to respond to any type of conventional advertising message.

You’ve heard that or something similar, correct? My friends, those stats only apply to the really big fish, (read that as) the fortune 500 ad budget types!Not the tiny local,extremely  cash strapped small business owner/service provider, that unfortunately is attempting to use their local TV/radio market to attract brand new first time customers and or clients/patients etc.

Effective Marketing Works So Much Better When You’re Aiming It At Individuals That Are Already Familiar With You And Or Your Company!

So what this means is, for your typical, cash strapped small business owner/service provider, that’s attempting to woo first time customers, by using outrageously expensive, (local) newspaper, TV and or radio ads etc.

And on top of that, their radio and or TV ads, last all of 60 seconds or less!It’s gonna take a ton of ridiculously expensive, constant exposures, before you’ll get anyone in the door, cover the cost of your overhead and then gross any type of profit!

So when they finally get around to putting a pencil to it, they’ll quickly discover, their cost per lead (CPL), is pretty darn high!

Now “who” can really say what will work, without first, inexpensively testing it!But one of the very first strategies, I would suggest they do, is to initially target four or five industries and or professions, and initially go after the influential ladies in those industries with some serious marketing gusto!

For ex: Find a few local hospitals and target, (if you can) the head nurses, so they can let the other nurses, (and nurses assistants) in the hospital, help you create some serious, viral word of mouth & mouse currency!How you ask?

This would be one of the ways, to initially start. You and one of your store managers, drive over to the parking lot of a few local hospitals and (if), during the summer, there’s a place where the nurses and other workers hang around outside, during (both) their periodic breaks, and when they step out briefly to smoke or just stretch etc!

Turns Out Basic Marketing Strategies Really Aren’t Too Common After All!

And without coming off as too weird! 😎 Hey, it’s gonna take a little practice, to come off as being kinda natural!Anyway as casually as you can, approach them by first politely introducing yourself, with your flyers in hand and tell them you represent blank shoe store, conveniently located at X!

(Then briefly pause, and ask “if’ they’ve ever heard of your store? This way you immediately get them engaged and out of their natural defensive zone!)

And ask if they wouldn’t mind sharing their opinion!And if they’re okay with  doing so. Tell them you’re looking to quickly grow your VIP customer base!And if they help you spread the word among the, (primarily) nurses, secretaries and nurses assistants etc, within the hospital and or facility.

You’ll gladly reward them big time for doing so!That should readily peak their interest! That’s when you hand them (at least) twenty five of your two sided, business size index cards.(And hopefully, it’s at least two or three of them sitting together! 😎 )

Effective Marketing Starts Out Relatively Small But Gradually Scales Up!

Side A will tell them to go to your mobile responsive WordPress blog/special lead capture page, to enter your free monthly drawing for a chance to win a $500 dollar VIP gift card coupon!And as long as they’re a subscriber to your VIP opt in email insiders list, they automatically save 30%, (or X) off their first three , (or X) number of purchases!

However, side B informs them, every time they bring this card with them, and anyone whose, 18 and over to your store. Two really cool things automatically happen!

 A.They automatically get to buy any one pair of shoes they want, (no minimum purchase necessary!)at your actual cost!Pretty cool right? This way you know they’ll be constantly texting, tweeting and posting their really good fortunes all the various social media platforms!Right?

While the person (or persons) they brought will absolutely be dazzled as well!Don’t you agree?

 B.) Next, every time they bring a new potential first time customer with  them, whose 18 and over, you’ll let them reach in your grab bagand it will be filled with various other local vendors,time sensitive “brand new customer only” discount coupons!(Or something else really cool!)

You’ll just hand date them, and give your customer at least ten days to get over to the local vendors store, or the coupons automatically expire!(And get this!) You’ll actually have two separate grab bags!

One for those that spend over $50 dollars and one for those that spend less! 😎 And here’s where your “ethical bribing” strategy really kicks into overdrive!

You let these ladies know, you’re only initially looking for 25 women of influence, (at that particular facility) to help quickly spread the word!So you instruct these ladies, (provided) they’re truly interested! 😎

Who Says You Gotta Be Some Kind Of Marketing Guru In Order To Be A Really Effective Marketer?

All they need to do is is legibly print their first & last name, (on side B) near the bottom of all twenty cards they pass out!And as the customers bring them in, as soon as they get three customers to bring them in, the store will personally call them, (because now they’ll ask for the ladies personal cell phone numbers.)

And they can automatically pick out any one pair of shoes they want and buy them at your cost!And proudly head back to work, constantly showing off and do a little light heart-ed bragging as well! 😎
