Entrepreneur, did you happen to notice in part one of this ongoing series, about how even though this one potentially profitable marketing strategy, is right under their nose.
Far too many otherwise extremely savvy entrepreneurs, (for whatever reasons.)
Readily choose to either overlook and or ignore this potential marketing strategy/opportunity altogether.(Which is really too bad.)
Perhaps it’s because, they haven’t actually taken the time to fully run the (front and back end) numbers, in a much needed side by side comparison.
Because if they did, they might discover, far too many cash strapped small business owners and or service providers, are attempting to advertise, (not strategically market) their businesses and or services, as if they are an extremely deep pocketed, fortune 500 type of company!
When clearly, they are not!
But in spite of this glaringly obvious fact, they are content to spend a fortune on outrageously expensive, traditional advertising mediums, such as local TV, radio and or costly newspaper or specialty magazine ads etc.
When there is a much simpler and far less expensive marketing and or promotional alternative, quietly begging to be utilized!
So If This Potentially Profitable Marketing Strategy Is Really Right Under Their Nose!( How Come So Many Extremely Savvy Entrepreneurs Readily Ignore It?)
Ladies & gentlemen, in order to really drive home the point, in part two of this series. See if you can follow this rather straight forward train of thought.
Have you ever heard the saying, “a wise man can definitely learn from a fool, but the opposite is rarely true!”
Now in order to fully illustrate this point, from a practical point of view.Let’s take a chiropractor, a RN (Registered Nurse), landscaper and a civil engineer.
And let’s say the Registered Nurse,chiropractor and civil engineer all need their lawns at their homes professionally cut.And let’s say (just for) illustration purposes, the going rate is $25 dollars per hour.
And in order for a professional landscaping crew to cut & trim the front & back yards of these professionals homes, it takes a total of five hours, (or) $125 dollars. ($25 dollars per hour x 5 hours = $125 dollars total cost.Give or take. Correct?)
Are You You Constantly Wasting Your Incredibly Valuable And Irreplaceable Time Trying To Save Nickels And Dimes And Missing Out On The Dollars!
Here’s the point; if push were to come to shove, the nurse, chiropractor and the civil engineer could all definitely cut their own lawns.Correct? Absolutely.
Although it would be a temporary inconvenience,right?But truth told, probably not as well and (precision like) as the professional landscapers could!
But lets try the reverse!Huh? Meaning: could the landscaper go practice being a Registered Nurse, chiropractor or civil engineer, without all the proper training? Of course not!
So here’s what it means.Unfortunately far too many entrepreneurs, will spend an outrageous fortune, trying to reach complete strangers.
(Read that as) trying to generate those all important first time customers, clients and or patients through traditional advertising mediums, such as local radio, TV, specialty magazines and newspaper ads and or local billboards etc.
(In straight layman’s terms. You definitely can’t keep spending a dollar to get anywhere from five to ten cents back!Because your business or service will be in bankruptcy sooner, rather than later!) Agreed?
When In Doubt Resort To Basic Marketing Strategies And Tactics ASAP!
Which gets us back to our women’s shoe store retailer (case study) from part one.
Rather than keep blowing an outrageous fortune every month, on traditional advertising mediums, such as local newspaper ads, TV or radio, and dismally performing direct snail mail ad campaigns etc.
In which very few potential first customers are paying any, (and or) very little attention to!
Instead now they will start strategically leveraging the current relationships they already have and start building upon those.Huh?
For ex: right across the street from their business, (where) the shoe stores employees buy their morning cup of coffee, at least three times a week or more!
Since they’re already on a first name basis with two of the young female cashiers, (who) truth told, fit their ideal customer profile to a tee!Bingo!
Constantly Look For Some Creative Ways To Help Spread The Word Of About Your Business And Or Services!
That said: going forward, either the store owner(s) and or one of the store managers will buy a cup of coffee and two donuts, one morning and offer those ladies some extremely time sensitive VIP discount coupons.
So they can buy one pair of shoes and save 30% -50%, but get another pair, (irregardless of the price) at your actual cost! Say what?
Provided of course, they bring a brand new potential first time customer with them, whose 18 or over.
And they’ll also extend the exact same offer to that really nice deliver guy that services their bottle water account, at least once a month. And or every other week.
Effective Use Of Various Forms Of Marketing Leverage Is A Whole Lot Less Expensive Than Conventional Advertising Methods!
And since he proudly wears his wedding band.They will ask “how” long he’s been happily married and “what” his wife does for a living etc.
And give him one of these extremely time sensitive VIP discount coupons to give to his wife, (and or his live in significant other,) with the exact same offer.
And if he’s old enough to have a daughter in either HS or college or whose already out of the house and living somewhere locally.
They’ll give him an extra coupon to give to her as well!(And of course if his daughter is already out of the house), they will strategically leverage her positive word of mouth & mouse contributions.
Simply by accessing both her immediate personal and professional inner circles!Entrepreneur, are you starting to see “what’s” and appreciate what’s going on here?
Start Small And Systematically Build Your Way Up And Up!
(And they’ll ask if the bottle water vendor regularly bowls or plays cards with a group of married guys or single guys with daughters or sisters etc! 😎 )
And they’ll also strategically hit up the postman (or woman) as they deliver their daily mail to them! 😎 Plus, they’ll approach the owner of the cleaning company that cleans their space each evening!
And let him or her know, they’ll gladly offer all of their female workers, (both) in and out of the office, the exact same offer as their offer VIP customers!Say what?
An Effective Creative Marketing Plan Is A Whole Lot More Profitable Than A Conventional Advertising Plan!
And this is “how” they’ll systematically build, (both) their repeat customers and generate a ton of on and offline, positive word of mouth & mouse buzz, for a whole less than they had been constantly spending!Don’t you agree?

“Why” in the world would I, (or you) constantly reach out to complete strangers, be they fellow bloggers or other successful online marketers.
To try and put together any type of strategic alliances and or JV’s (joint ventures) when Peter has already indicated he’s more than willing to collaborate with me!Bingo!
