Entrepreneur This Is How Extremely Savvy Freelancers Make Free And Automation Work For Them!

  (And Now So Can You!)

Okay right out of the gate let’s be as crystal clear as possible,. Are you alright with this type of communication entrepreneur? Good, me too. Successful freelancers (if you are one) or aspiring to become one.

Your ability or proven strategies to attract new or repeat customers can and definitely should in the beginning. Involve a lot of boot strapping (aka) hustling and marketing elbow grease.

But or because you really are running a business by way or providing quality services. You must understand and appreciate their are some real costs involved, right? Entrepreneur you (nor I) can’t expect to run a real business strictly utilizing (so called) free resources.

You can certainly start out strategically and purposely keeping your real cost down or to a bare bones minimum. But as your visibility grows (and it most certainly will.) Provided you start marketing, power networking and professionally promoting your end result benefits to your ideal target market.

But once or as your target audience becomes aware of your totally awesome products or services. (And BTW let’ start there. Huh?) Meaning if your products or services aren’t yet as good as they can and definitely should be just yet.)

What real conclusion will your target audience conclude? You need to know before you’ve got way too much capital and emotional investment involved. Don’t you agree?

So What Type Of Ideas To Attract Customers Can Freelancers Use? ( Especially When They’re First Starting Out And Their Budget Is All But Non Existent!)

Two excellent and all too common front end questions. Which often come about especially when you’re just starting out. And the brutally honest truth is. Not only do you not have a lot of money to spend or potentially waste on so called traditional advertising or promotional methods. But even if you did. You really don’t know where or “how to” start going about be semi strategic.

But a gain (several words) of real world ‘caution’ is being advised here. This strictly hypothetical marketing example template. Is being used strictly for marketing conceptual illustration purposes only, agreed?

Because there’s no way getting around real businesses or services have certain unavoidable costs. So you can’t expect to ride the free train your entire entrepreneurial journey. Case in point. Even the “CMS” (Content Management System) my self hosted blog using is WordPress.org. Not to be constantly confused with WordPress.com. Huh?

While both platforms are free (aka) open source. One is a whole lot more restrictive than the other. (I’m personally using the less restrictive free version WordPress.org.

Ladies And Gentlemen There’s Is Most Definitely A Place For Upgrading To Paid Products And Services! ( Because The Completely Free Train Can Take You Only So Far!)

However, (entrepreneur) my paid third party web hosting service is Bluehost.com. And yes even though they (like other quality hosts) have different payment plan options available. All of them cost somebody money.

And my current theme. (Which truth told I’ve been looking to change for a while now. But to date I just haven’t found the one which says, yes this is definitely it. But I invested real money in my theme. (And the DIVI theme by Elegant Themes seems the way I’m currently leaning.)

And also had to pay different WordPress site building experts real money to make even the slightest changes. Until I learned “how to” do 90% of what I constantly needed done myself.

And now even though Aweber my paid auto email service provider of choice. (yes, that’s my affiliate link in case you’re wondering.)

Now allows you or your major competitors to open a semi limited account for free. Say what? That’s correct, now you or your major competitors can open your account for free and build your opt in email list up to 500 subscribers.

Entrepreneur The Strategic Use Of Automation Both Time And Marketing Leverage For You Or Your Major Competitors!

And once your opt in subscriber base exceeds 500 then and only then do you start paying either by the month, quarter or by the year. (See their current pricing options to help you decide which paying options, (if any) currently best suite your specific needs and budget.)

But of course your free account is semi limited. ( Who saw that coming, right?) Meaning you don’t automatically have total access to all of the current or future bells & whistles just yet. And as long as your account is free you can only have one list. (Bummer, right?)

But you’re still in the position to come out of the gate running incredibly fast. Because even with -let’s say- just two subscribers.

Ladies & gentlemen for just a second. Think about “how” time consuming and resource draining it would be for you and I to attempt to make 200 phone calls in an eight to ten hour day.

Doesn’t your  head hurt even considering undertaking such a dreadful task? On the other hand. Even or especially if you’re not a hired gun email marketing expert or strategist.

You can still write an extremely heart felt email message or a series of them. But for now let’s say you write a simple two to three paragraph previously unscheduled “broadcast” email message to your single list of two hundred or X number of subscribers.

Entrepreneur Don’t Let Or Stop Letting Initially Being A Novice At Something prevent You From Developing Some New Potentially Profitable Life Long Skills!

And writing it takes you  all of 45 minutes. Because this entire email marketing to your opt in subscribers is still totally new to you. And for the moment you kinda suck at it. (Until you gradually get better from consistent practicing. (Hey, it’s where we all begin or began so “welcome” to the club.

Anyway you finish the email, quickly check it for grammatical errors or oversites. You decide to either send the broadcast message right now or schedule it to be sent later. (Are you starting to appreciate the leverage of automation?

Anyway, you hit the send button and your message (in this particular case) goes out to all 200 or X number of subscribers you currently have on your one free account.

“How” much easier and far more effective use of your time is that? Can you really compare that to someone trying to either cold call or spam 200 individuals with an unwanted email message?

Isn’t It Great To Have Direct Access To A Proven Source To Help You Finally Connect All Of The Dots. (Especially At No Additional Up Front Cost!)

Now obviously not all of your (or my subscribers!) are going to open and read your message(s) right? (And with your paid account their software will track each email messages specific stats. Meaning, opens and (CTR) Click Through Rates etc.)

Also with your paid email service provider account. You and I or your major competitors can simply create a segment. (As many as you like o need BTW.)

And name it something really simple. Like “Did not open blank. The blank part is the original subject line of that particular email message. Create a new (hopefully), curiosity based, “What’s in it for me?” type of subject line. (It’s best to change (test) a different subject line.)

And re-send your email message to those subscribers who didn’t open the last one. And this takes all of ten minutes or less. When you’ve done it a few times. Or 30 minutes or less if you’re a complete novice.

Because whether your Aweber account is free or paid. You and I or you major competitors have both direct and indirect access to “the secret weapon.” Say what? Entrepreneur you call call Awebers toll free number inside the US. Or call them directly via your dime. If you’re currently located outside of the US.

And get this. Their multi year award winning customer care service reps are available via phone M-F, 8 am – 8 pm EST. And available via chat only only the weekend.

Coming up very quickly in part two. Ladies & gentlemen you or your major competitors are about to “discover” ‘how to” strategically leverage the free train. Until it definitely makes sense to start investing your extremely hard money. Are you up for that? Good because in part two. because that’s very aspiring freelancers will finish connecting the dots. See you in just a little bit.
