Entrepreneur Have You Seriously Thought About Niche Marketing!

So how many major competitors (advertisers) are there in your immediate local or online marketplace? Honestly, are you struggling as a direct result? If that’s the case, have you (or will you) seriously consider the potential strategic advantage of niche marketing?

Stop and think about your potential advantages for just a second. Take a corporation that has extremely deep pockets, and they’re spending a fortune on all types of traditional mass media market mediums, such national TV and newspaper display ads and national radio ads etc.

You’re watching a sporting event and you know and understand that every X number of minutes those (high paying sponsors) will break in and offer their wares to a mass audience right?

You (and I) would or will literally go broke trying in vain to compete on that level! And the main reason being, because it will literally take a ton of money, before you reach your intended audience.(And or get their attention.)Right?

Entrepreneur Maybe You Should Seriously Consider The Many Advantages Of  Niche Marketing!

One of the biggest potential marketing advantages is, picture an extremely crowded airport and you’re are busy hurrying to your next connecting flight gate, and over the (PA) public announcement system, you hear the following message. “Attention please, will that person walking kind of fast, please come to  USA Air gate # 23! Huh?

That’s the typical challenge with un targeted traditional mass medium marketing. Instead, since you (and I) don’t have that type of money and other extremely valuable resources!

Let’s take a look at three separate hypothetical potential marketing situations and see if a little low cost, high impact niche marketing would help. 

Suppose you have expertise about investing in various stock sectors. In stead of trying to be all things to all people (mass marketing), what if you instead go after a smaller far more focused narrow, (yet potentially extremely profitable) niche and become the recognized “go to expert” for that particular niche.

1.) For ex; “what” if you do a little research and discover there is a huge growing potentially un serviced market of (upper income preppy), Internet savvy, college graduate students, between the ages of 24 & 28 years old. Who are extremely enthusiastic about learning “how”to invest in penny stocks! (Or “how to” become successful day traders etc.)

You (or I) would be much better off  trying to target that specific market, provided you can verify they’re really willing to invest their money! You’ll educate them first, then move to have those most qualified, to open an initial training account.

Then have them start simulating, (paper) trades and then finally have them open (small accounts) initially and gradually bring them along!

2.) Or let’s suppose you discover there’s a huge baby boomers market that would love to learn “how to” turn their hobbies into real  income businesses, that they can hopefully convert into a full or part time income!

Maybe “what” they need is an instructor that can relate to them! Which means they (or you or I) could target our marketing strategies at “Baby Boomers” who are successfully using the Internet to turn their hobbies into spendable cash!

3.) Another potential huge untapped niche market might be the downsized corporate types ( that still have a sizable amount of spendable cash!) that are extremely interested in generating spendable cash through blue chip stock dividends!

Maybe they feel Real Estate investing is just too hands on ( at this point in their life) and besides, they’re not really the landlord type! Or they don’t want to invest  the vast amounts that your typical Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) accounts would typically require.

So putting anywhere from $25,000 -$100,000 into the right type of blue chip stocks, might actually appeal to them! So your marketing tactics and strategies, would target this huge (and constantly) growing niche!

Non Targeted Mass marketing Is Not Only Outrageously Expensive! (But It’s Far Too Time Consuming A Well!)

The point is entrepreneur, maybe it’s time for you to narrow your focus (and other extremely limited resources), and implement a little strategic niche marketing!  It’s probably a whole lot cheaper and will be far easier for you to niche yourself, (initially anyway) instead of trying to compete in the traditional mass marketing arena! Don’t you agree?
