Entrepreneur You Should Probably Stop Ignoring These Three Proven Direct Mail Marketing Tips!Part Two

As you previously discovered in part one of this series about effectively using direct mail marketing tips.

Entrepreneur it’s real easy to waste a ton of money on non effective direct mail marketing campaigns! Don’t you agree? Part two of this is going to shed some much needed light on “how” you can systematically avoid some of the all too common pitfalls. And instead employ some proven direct mail marketing tips.

 Thank Goodness The Following Proven Direct Mail Marketing Tips Aren’t Complicated Or Expensive!

First of all, did you happen to notice in part one (tip # three)  that your list was basically broken into a minimum of two separate categories? And neither of the categories was “brand new customers.”

The reason being, simply by (first) creating your very own database (list), you avoid wasting a ton of money, buying some list of names (that in all likelihood) are completely unfamiliar with your business, product or service initially.

And your first mailing or two in all likelihood, (at best) will produce a dismal half to one percent! Nod your cadets, it’s true! The main reason being, because it’s basically a cold list for you! They probably have never heard of you, your business, product or service!

and they didn’t initially approach yo about becoming a customer or client! Instead your unsolicited mail piece made to their mail box! That’s “why” you definitely want to adhere to the following three proven direct mail marketing tips. Which brings us to this all important first tip.

1.) Proven direct mail marketing tip # one: Entrepreneur let’s eliminate that all too typical wasteful cost upfront, simply only mailing to (either) your existing customer or clients. Or you ex-customers or clients.

In other words, for these two particular direct mail marketing campaign strategies to work as effectively as they could and should, you need to eliminate mailing out to complete strangers (cold list), trying to create that all  important firs time customer or client!

And while you’re at it entrepreneur, you definitely want to avoid mailing to your high maintenance -low profit producing customers and clients, for this particular strategy to work!

And by the way, entrepreneur with regards to mailing to your existing customers or clients. You’re mailing to your twenty per-centers!

You know, the twenty percent that ultimately generate 80% of your revenue.

2.) Proven direct mail marketing tip # two: This next tip (or mistake) if you will, you constantly see being committed all the time by the professional service industry. That being primarily your CPA’s Accountants, Realtor s or Chiropractors, just a name a few. What they do (far too) often is, create business cards (that they often) spend a lot of money upfront to create, and they’ll take up as much as a third of the card with (either)  some fancy (non productive) logo!

Or they take up the same amount of space (meaning up to one third), showing their smiling face!All the while not realizing that incredibly valuable (prime) real estate should or could be used to stress the benefits to their potential customers or clients!

3.) Proven direct mail marketing tip # three: And finally, here’s proven direct mail marketing campaign tip # three. However, it comes with a big caveat! meaning- you definitely want to inexpensively test this strategy first, before you attempt to roll it out on any type of major scale!

Here’s the train of thought. Suppose you currently mail your newsletter (or one of you top joint venture partners) mails their newsletter on a quarter (once every 90 days) basis, instead of once per month.

Think about this! Your major competitors that mail once every month. They’ve already contacted your potential prospect three times! Before you or your top JV partners have contacted them once!

Given that all too common occurrence. Which business do you think is more likely to win long term? Bingo! Well hopefully, yo can see the wisdom (and the long term profit potential), when you apply these three proven direct mail marketing tips. Any questions?
