Why Being An Entrepreneur Definitely Means Adding Value And Solving Problems!

So what’s your (working definition) of being an entrepreneur?

And more importantly, is your current working definition, getting you any closer to any of your stated short or long term goals?

Whether you actually have a readily available working definition or not.

Being an entrepreneur who has any reasonable chance at success, then you’ll definitely want to add pro-active problem solver to your ongoing list of assets. Right?

Because the better you get at (both) addressing and helping your ideal customers and or clients, solve their main issues and or concerns, the more valuable and sought after, you’ll become.

Which also means, you’ll spend less time, money and other extremely valuable resources, trying to convince first time customers and or clients to do business with you!

And you’ll find it far easier, and much less expensive to consistently attract your ideal customers and or clients to your business, products and or services etc. And much easier to out promote your major competitors, who simply don’t get it.

So Who Still Doesn’t Understand How Being An Entrepreneur Definitely Means Solving Problems While You Add Value To Their Lives!

So let me share with you, the main motivation behind this particular post.

Recently, (out of the blue), I got a couple of emails from a couple of complete strangers, (glorified spam) by any other name.

And these particular marketers are promoting various solutions. But truth told, nobody probably asked them directly to solve!

Meaning, you or I didn’t join their opt in email/mobile marketing list, and asked to receive any type of problem solving information from them.

Stop Trying So Hard To Convince Totally Strangers To Initially Do Business With You!

Instead, they sent us, (or in this particular case) me, some unsolicited email messages. And because I have no clue who they are.

Were it not for the fact, I decided to use their correspondence in this particular case study example. Their messages would definitely have been deleted much sooner.

Take a look at one of their messages just below in the next section, then contrast that approach, to the pro-active problem solving approach, they should at least inexpensively test.

Proactively Solving Your Target Markets Problems Makes Being An Entrepreneur So Much For Profitable!

So take a look at this recent spam message I received. And even though they mentioned their correspondence would only be a one time thing if I didn’t respond, (which I did not ), they still sent the same message about a week later.

Again, out of the blue, a glorified stranger solicitation email landed in my in box.

Contrast this approach, to the following two potential-proactive- marketing approaches.

1.) Potential marketing approach # one: The developer could inexpensively test running a paid display ad campaign in a few of the most popular tech magazines,by offering a free drawing!

For a chance to win an App valued at X, developed by an app development expert, who specializes in this particular niche market.

And after the tech magazine chooses the ultimate winner, all 99% of the runner- ups, win an extremely time sensitive discount coupon, to hire the developer and every brand new first time customer can save X%.

If nothing else, the developer will be well on there way to building their very own opt in email/mobile marketing list, to periodically follow up with. Right?

Being An Entrepreneur Doesn’t Have To Automatically Mean Spending A Ton Of Money On Outrageously Expensive Advertising Campaigns!

And as their building their opt in email list by offering a free drawing. They can contrast that approach to the following marketing alternative, which they definitely should inexpensively test as well.

2.) Potential marketing approach # two: First of all, this alternative marketing approach, will be contingent upon how many non competing (reputable vendors), the app developer currently already has business relationships with.

Where they can do some type of joint venture with them, by allowing these vendors to offer the developers extremely time sensitive discount coupons as gift certificates to the vendors most semi qualified customers.

Sometimes A Proven Marketing Strategy Is To simply Do Twice As Much Giving As You Do Asking!

Because as the vendors share these discount coupons with their customer base, the developer is seen as less of a complete stranger,(right?) And now comes across as more of a trusted expert source of the vendors.

Either marketing alternative, with a few minor marketing tweaks and strategic adjustments here and there.

Will probably out perform, the developer sending glorified spam messages! And possibly getting formal complaints against their paid email service provider!Don’t you agree?

And that’s how and why being an entrepreneur definitely means adding value and solving problems.Any questions? Now as is customary during this part of our show.

  1. Yes, I do agree Mark. I suppose it’s the time of the year, but I’ve been getting all kinds of these things, along with “join my network” messages for a platform I’ve never heard of. It’s irritating and I rarely read them, but I try to learn something – even if it’s how not to do something. Thanks for your usual awesome advice!
