So Why On Earth Would You Consider Low Traffic Website A Capital Asset?Part Two

As you previously discovered in part one of this series about “how” even though your website may get very little free traffic, it still has the potential to be (or become) an extremely valuable capital asset.

Because as you also discovered in part one, it’s not necessarily the amount of traffic you get as much as “how” much you’re actually able to leverage it. Don’t you agree?  As you are about to discover, the unnamed Internet marketing guru that was referenced in part one, has certainly mastered the art of maximizing short and long term profits, from a site that consistently generates very little free (organic) traffic.

 Why A Website That Consistently Generates Very Little Free Traffic Is Still An Extremely Valuable Capital Asset!

Picking up where part one left off There is an extremely successful Internet marketing guru, that makes no bones about the fact that he routinely earns millions of dollars (annually), both on and offline.

But some of his critics (primarily) men & women that offer SEO (Search Engine Optimization) services, love to go to great lengths to point out two things about this  one particular site that the guru has:

A.) The site (according) to it’s current alexa.com ranking, generates very little free (organic) traffic from any of the major search engines like Google, Bing or Yahoo etc.

B.) On any given day, you might find this (niche) site listed on page two or page three etc.

So in their extremely limited (non) marketing point of view! They can see no commercial value in a website that generates very little free (organic) traffic!

However, unbeknownst to his critics, this low traffic generating website still produces a ton of spendable cash! Part one covered at least four ways, (so be sure you read part one) and here in part two, you’ll discover at least three more hidden forms of cash flow that his extremely valuable capital asset produces.

 1.) First, as was mentioned in part one, the guru typically receives anywhere from a low of $10 K to $20 K just as a main keynote speaker appearance fee. Plus, they typically hold a pre -event breakout session, in which a maximum of 50 people will gladly spend an additional $100 each to attend a special 90 minute “No holds barred Q & A session exclusively with him.

Not only does he gross an additional $5,000 dollars  on top of his up front cash speaking fee! But the other way (unbeknownst) to his critics, that he makes out as a direct result, of his traffic generating website.

The guru records this 90 minute event and sells (on average)  an additional 100 copies to the other attendees at $97 dollars each. Which means, he grosses another $9,700 on top of everything else mentioned to this point!

2.) Here’s the next money making strategy that the guru (translated) extremely savvy marketer utilizes to maximize revenues, whenever he gets a speaking engagement, as a direct result of his low traffic generating website. Typically he’ll sell ten Master Re – seller’s licenses, to the people that pay to attend one of his pre -event breakout sessions.

Normally you’d expect to pay $2,500 dollars for one of his Master Re-seller’s licenses. However, because they paid to attend his pre – event breakout session, they get a 60% discount off the normal retail rate.

Which means he grosses an additional $10,000 dollars more! And just think, this massive income stream originated from a website that some of his extremely short sighted critics, take great delight in pointing out, doesn’t get much free traffic! Therefore (they erroneously) conclude, the site must be worthless! Although it should be pretty obvious to this point that, his earnings from this site probably covers his annual hosting, state of the art email service provider and  his top of the line shopping cart system as well!

3.) And lastly… Of course the guru has a much more advanced paid course that typically retails for 497 dollars, where he teaches the ins & outs of maximizing your speaking revenues!

And he’ll typically sell anywhere from 50- 150 of these, just depending on the total number of attendees at the actual event. Let’s use the low figure of 50. Do the math, that’s an additional 50 customers that spend another $24,850 dollars! On top of everything else! (50 x $497 =$24,850.)

So hopefully you can see “why” the guru is a little smug when it comes to his critics, that think that just because a website has generates very little free traffic, doesn’t mean it isn’t or can’t become an extremely valuable capital asset! Don’t you agree?
