Entrepreneur, have you ever seen the movie “Gone In Sixty Seconds?” Starring (among others) Nicholas Cage, Angelina Jolie and Robert Duvall? Well, it would be nice if you and I had at least that much time (online) in order to make your case! But sadly, you/we do not!
So that means, you’d better have a pretty good idea about “what” basic proven online components your e-commerce website needs to have. Don’t you agree? If not, you are most definitely leaving some of your (greatly deserved) profits on the table.
And you best believe your major competitors are more than happy to gobble up those customers/clients and any and all the repeat business and referrals they can provide them with! And that simply doesn’t have to be the case!
Three Incredibly Simple Things Your E-commerce Website Can’t Afford To Not To Do!
On the one hand it’s sad to think, that you can invest gobs of money (that means a lot) and promote the heck out of your site, using both paid and free methods, but unless you take the following three (proven) issues extremely serious!
You won’t be nearly as profitable as you can and deserve to be! Kinda scary isn’t it? Your long term profitability is directly tied to how well you address the following three issues.
1.) First: Entrepreneur, from this day forward, do yourself (and your potential investors) a big favor! In order to maximize your revenues, don’t try and make your current or potential new customers or clients jump through too many hoops, in order to (either) do business with you or join your (all important) email follow up list!
Because if you do, they’ll get gone real fast! And they’ll take all of their potential repeat business, testimonials and referrals with them! Ouch!
2.) Next: Don’t fall prey to over geek -a- fying- your site syndrome! Made up term, obviously! But it still applies to your potential long term profits! Translated: Don’t over complicate your site! Make it extremely easy for your visitors to (hopefully) find whatever they’ve come to your site/WordPress blog to find!
3.) And finally: Whatever you do! Entrepreneur, do not make your site too confusing for your visitors! In other words, don’t try and be all things to all visitors! You’ll frustrate them and starve to death in the process!(Hint: does your tagline- that subhead line in your main header- clearly explain the main benefit your business, product or service offers? And or the main problem you solve?)
Told ya they were simple! (Homework assignment: get over to your e-commerce website asap, and make these proven changes now! And look forward to a far more profitable future. Any questions?

Hi Mark,
You have mentioned one of my pet peeves here and that is going to a blog and trying to figure out how to comment!
Those that you have to “sign into” just drives me crazy. So much so, that I will share it, but then PM the author that it was frustrating and I couldn’t leave a comment. In a nice way! I also suggest to them, that if I had a problem, so many others would too.
We have to make our blogs easy and simple to navigate. Otherwise our readers are out of there!
I love the way you named this E-Commerce site because not many people think of themselves as a business. When, in fact, they are! (Yet another pet peeve lol)
I see too many people I visit trying to make money, but never mention it. At least have that opt-in on the side bar for goodness sakes!
OK…I’ll stop ranting…But this is one of my passions too.
You have done a great job with this as always.

Excellent Donna thank you!
And I’m definitely with you, in terms of when it comes to going to a site
and they actually want you to sign it! Yeah right!
And like you I’m out of there! Hopefully, they’ll eventually get a clue! As always thanks for sharing your
thoughts and showing some support! They’re both greatly appreciated coach!
Hi Mark,
This is one great post!!
I agree with you on all the 3 points to improve our e-commerce sites. But the third one stood out for me as making things confusing and complicated for our visitors will make us lose a lot in the process. I don’t want to tell you how many times, I visited blogs and it was so confusing even to leave a comment.
Visitors of the e-commerce sites are looking to find what they are looking for in the fastest way possible and that’s why they are looking for what they want online in the first place. So, making it easy for them will benefit both parties, the e-commerce site owner and the visitor.
Thanks for the heads up about improving our e-commerce sites. Great points indeed.
Have a great week ahead.
Be Blessed,
Neamat

Wow Neamat!
Thanks for your extremely kind words! And I couldn’t agree more, nothing is more
frustrating than going to a site and it’s close to impossible to
find what you’re looking for!
It makes me not want to leave skid marks!I’m out of there so fast!LOL! Thanks for stopping by! Both your support and
feedback are greatly appreciated!
