Which partly explains “how” this guy literally rose from extremely humble beginnings, eventually discovered Internet marketing in general, affiliate marketing in particular, and he now routinely earns a very impressive $40 K per month!
Constantly stays a top the leader board in affiliate contests. To date he has over 102,000 twitter followers! He consistently has a staggering 250,000 daily visitors to his John chow.com blog. And just one of his email lists currently has over 100,000 opt in subscribers!
So needless to say, when John shares some of many money making lessons about successful Internet marketing, it’s best you listen! Especially when he averages a cool $1,000 dollar gross profit per blog post!
Here’s Five Closely Guarded Internet Marketing Secrets I Learned By Studying The Teachings Of Superstar Blogger John Chow!
1.) Secret # one: This first secret has to do with power list building 101. John uses this really cool aweber plugin for WordPress, in his comments section.Because (if you notice), in order to leave a comment on someone else’s blog, you need to enter your email address. FYI: this plugin is free! All you need is a paid aweber account and a WordPress blog.)
Aweber has a plugin that appears in your comment box, and directs the person leaving a comment to sign up for your lead generating freebie! An incredibly powerful & logical way to help build your list fast!! (That doesn’t cost you a nickel more in upfront out of pocket expense!)
And as John so astutely points out, these type of subscribers are typically a far more active one!
2.) Secret # two: His second closely guarded email marketing secret regarding list building, is that he also has his aweber “light box” integrated” with Facebook! Because lots of web surfers are logged into FB while they’re surfing the web!
And when they arrive on your site, provided you have an aweber account, this interface will automatically fill out your opt in box, so all your visitor needs to do is hit the enter button.
(FYI: The term “light box” is that totally annoying opt in box that appears on your screen, while the rest of your screen is darkened out! And you can either opt in or click the X to to close the box. Annoying yes! 😎 Effective, absolutely! 😉
3.) Secret # three: This next proven “email marketing secret” will help any of you trying build your opt in email list, whenever you use paid advertising. Don’t distract your visitor! Meaning- don’t send them to your blog’s home page, instead them directly to your lead capture/squeeze page.
Because there’s only one option! Either they opt in or leave! (And one of John’s squeeze pages averages a staggering 50% opt in rate!)
Don’t Forget To Simply Follow In The Footsteps Of Those Who Have Already Traveled The Path You Have Chosen!
4.) Secret # four: Secret # four involves using Facebook.John uses a service called “contest domination.com”, and they’re integrated with FB. And he basically uses it to get likes for his FB fanpage! (Sweet!)
You see, when you arrive on John’s FB business/fanpage, the visitor see’s a blanked screen (similar to) awebers “light box” concept. And the page is offering them a chance to win a much sought after free prize, which in John’s particular case, it’s a chance to win an Apple ipad.
But you gotta like his fanpage first, before you can enter the contest! (In your company or services’s particular case, it might be something else that your target audience would find valuable!)
Yea, old John’s a master marketer for sure!
5.) Secret # five: This fifth “email marketing secret” has to do with your un subscribers, suppose you currently have 499 subscribers and 15 un subscribers, as you may or may not know, most paid autoresponders services, will raise your monthly rate, as soon you reach 500 subscribers. However, what may not be so apparent is, they’ll actually count those 15 unsubscribers as part of your active subscriber base, until you delete them.
Therefore, your actual email subscribers total by their calculations is 514! (499 + 15 =514) ( Just make sure you check with your particular paid email service provider, for specific clarification!)
So the point is this; you need to find out asap “how” or if this type of process actually applies to any of your lists! And if it does, actually periodically delete your un subscribers asap, so your subscriber counts will remain as accurate as possible.
