As you previously discovered in part one of this ongoing series, sales funnels don’t have to be super elaborate, in order to be effective and therefore profitable, correct?
This said, it’s still critically important, you and I, thoroughly understand, how to build a sales funnel, you definitely can rely on, right?
Because believe it or not, even though there is a ton of on and offline content, revolving around this evergreen subject. There’s still quite a bit of confusion and misconceptions, surrounding it as well.
And the more clearly you understand the basic components of a well built sales funnel, the easier they are to construct and profit from.Don’t you agree?
So Whose Still Not Crystal Clear About How To Build A Sales Funnel You Can Totally Rely On?
Before diving in head long, let’s -at least- attempt, to clear up, a major, (and sadly!) all too misconception, swirling around the online version, of what a real sales funnel is.
And hopefully, the following analogies, will help clear up some of the all too common misconceptions.
First of all, think of a house, which either has one or two bedrooms. Now think about the other rooms, which are normally associated, with a single family house.
You should probably have a kitchen, living and bathroom, correct? And purely optional, could be a den, walk in garage, store or washroom, correct?
Your Functional Sales Funnel Needs Certain Basic Components! (Otherwise It’s Not Really A Sales Funnel!)
Now consider this train of thought. What if an experienced builder, built an incredibly elaborate bathroom or a wash room.
And they added a really fancy kitchen to it. Could you honestly say, this three structures, actually make up a house? Nope.
Or what if they built a state of the art living room and added a elaborate game room to it. Again, does this structure, no matter how magnificent it may be, fit the traditional definition of a live-able house?
Not on your life. So what’s the point you ask? Simply this, just because you drive- free or paid traffic, to some type of sales page, no matter who actually wrote the market tested copy on it.
My friend, you don’t have a functional sales funnel just yet. Clearly, you have an offer, but just like a builder, who builds a fancy kitchen, you merely have a room.
Translated, a component of your house, but not an actual house just yet. 😎
Proven Lead Generation Strategies Definitely Are A Major Component Of A Highly Functional Sales Funnel!
If all your doing is driving traffic, (especially) some form of paid traffic to an offer of some kind, from primarily cold prospects.
If there’s not some type of list building component to your process, more than likely, you’re going to starve to death.
Because on average, you’d be extremely lucky, to sell one out very 100 unique visitors to your offer. Which means, in order survive, you need to be actively generating, some type of opt in email/mobile marketing list, in order to systematically follow up with these semi qualified prospects over time.
And the other major consideration is, if you’re paying for your traffic, and your offer is less than $997.(Just say a thousand dollars for ease of calculations.)
You”ll probably continuously lose money, because on average, you’ll need -literally- hundreds and hundreds of cold market prospects, before you actually make a sales or two.
The More Traditional Your Sales Funnel Is The Better Off You’ll Definitely Be Long Term!
Let the highly experienced marketers make a go of those types of hit or miss offers. And you rely more on a traditional sales funnel, which has the following main four -basic- components. And two fairly optional components.
1.) Basic main component # one: You -definitely- need, some type of market tested lead magnet, in order to build your opt in email/mobile marketing list. For long term follow up purposes.
2.) Basic main component # two: You definitely need, an initial, low cost, (yet) high perceived value, front end offer, to generate the all important first time customer and or client.
And help offset any initial, up front out of pocket costs, to produce the leads and or sales.
3.) Basic main component # three: Then you need your main bread & butter, mid level price products and or services.
4.) Basic main component # four: And you definitely need your high end products & services, to accommodate your premium buying customers, patients and or clients etc.

Because these high profit products and services, accelerate your long term profit growth. Especially if these products or services are digital in nature. 😎
5.) Optional component # one: You need -down sell- products and or services, to offer your prospects, who don’t initially take advantage of your paid offers.
6.) Optional component # two: You need one or a gazillion, potential upsell offers, right after your buyers initially purchasing anything from you.
For sure, ‘upselling’ is a key component to your overall sales process, but it’s not mandatory.Just like having a game room is not necessarily a must have component, for your single family residence, correct?
Incorporate these proven marketing concepts, and by doing so, you’ll also discover, how to build a sales funnel, you can totally rely on. Don’t you agree?
